The Turkey
So where do you get your xmas turkey from?
Is there any sort in particular you go for? This year I want to try a norfolk black as i have heard they have a good flavour and my mum wants me to get a frozen one from the supermarket, she doesn't really cook and is thinking purely on price. |

I've never tried a black because they seem to be quite difficult to source but I would recommend a bronze. Having said that I was speaking to a local butcher a week or two ago and he said, although he could supply a bronze, he recommended a locally bred free range white. It depends where you live but if you can get something free range from a good butcher/farmer it's likely to be better than any supermarket produce. As it's only once a year I wouldn't go near a frozen one.
