Maybe she's only got ballroom dances for a few weeks, which are really dull, (even more than the comedy) and doesn't want to put people off watching her.
I'm far from an Ann fan, so maybe that's why I only noticed her once talking about their upcoming routines out of context - "Next week we have the Samba and the week after that the Rumba."
Feel free to correct me though. Unlike some, I dont hang on her every word
As the BBC seem to want to include a comedy element each year, probably to "engage a wider audience." After all, it's all about ratings, isn't it?
Why don't they include a proper comedian instead of a constant stream of no hopers?

Who would that be then? Should be somebody that can dance but break out and annoy the judges with some comical elements. Best if it's spontaneous contrived just don't do it. The guy doing the current M&S ad would be a possibility.
I don't think anyone tells Ann off ! I think it's written in her contract that she can do as she pleases. (I'm joking, obv I have no idea what's in her contract)
