Brendan, Ali and Kristina were on Alan Ticthmarsh today, the episode is also up on itv player if you want to watch it. They were all giving their views and comments on the remaining contestants. Ali, Kristina and Alan want Kara to win and Brendan wants Scott to win. What do you guys think about the comments they made about the contestants?

Ooh. Patsy not really getting into the SCD experience according to Brendan. Interesting!

I found myself nodding along with virtually everything Brendan said and I'm intrigued about his views on Patsy and how she might be quite different behind the scenes compared to on camera.

It was interesting what he had to say about Patsy. From that clip, he also seemed to have reservations about Matt.

I understood where he was coming from.

I know Aliona thinks these acrobatic moves are entertaining, but for me they don't tie in with Matt's routines. They're surplus to requirement. Just needless showing off. I'm quite bored of them.,

She tried it last year with Rav too, except he was very swiftly eliminated. Who knows what she might have had planned for him too if he had been a better dancer.

wonder what Patsy isnt doing then ??? Brendan said if she was doing what everyone else was doing she could be really good......interesting.

Surely the strictly experience is unique to the individual... Patsy certainly seems to be putting her all in and getting along with everyone...i find it hard to believe that its any different off camera

And that's what makes Brendan's pointed comment so interesting. As he is better placed than any of us to know what goes on behind the scenes, it is hard to discount his (barely) veiled criticism.

And love him or loathe him (or middling ), I always feel Brendan speaks passionately, fairly and honestly.

I know if I were Patsy's pro, I'd probably be at least frustrated at her determination to be a mediocre dancer. She has shown glimpses of natural talent that certainly arent exploited through the weekly routines. Maybe she doesnt train enough and Robin's too much of a softie to pull her up for it? (Even at the risk of being criticised by other professionals).

Ah well, unless we have another upset week, it looks likely that Patsy will be gone on Saturday/Sunday, so none of it will matter. I just can't wait for the post-Strictly years when we are treated to volumes of Behind the Scene exposés by those in the know. I may see if I can pre-order Brendan's now

I was quite surprised at Brendan's comments about Patsy, although I do actually agree with him.

I'm not sure what it is about her ...... all the other contestants (except one who shall remain nameless!!!!) seem to throw everything they have into trying to improve and produce the best dance they can each week. I'm not saying Patsy doesn't try, nor that she doesn't want to improve (which she has) but sometimes I get the feeling the negativity she has about herself makes her satisfied with only improving a little, whereas with more effort she could improve a great deal.

Perhaps she is worried she will make fool of herself if she makes mistakes, so she holds back, almost as if she "dances with the breaks on"!

I'd love see her take a leaf from Pamela's book; stop playing safe, throw herself into it, & take some risks. Yes, the more risks, the more chance of mistakes, but so what? Even the pros make mistakes!
