iPhone 3GS on the T-Mobile Sim Only £10 monthly contract
Hi,
I currently have an iPhone 3GS on O2 at £35 a month. My contract ends in about 7 months time (i know im early), and I am happy with my current iPhone 3GS, so am looking at keeping it and going for a Sim Only Contract. Three have a £15 a month 1 month contract with 1GB data allowance. O2 have a £15 a month 12 month contract with 500MB data allowance. T-Mobile have a £10 a month 1 month contract with a free Internet Booster add on (1GB fair use - data allowance) The T-Mobile is the cheapest, 1GB should be plenty as I tend to use my home WiFi network, and minutes/texts is not an issue as I dont use many at all (20 texts, 10 minutes). However, would I be able to use my iPhone with the T-Mobile sim, I can't find any iPhone Sim only on the T-Mobile site? |

It will work no problem you dont need an iphone sim.
Be aware the internet booster is capped at a lowly 384kb speed you dont get HSDPA. |

Virgin might be a better option same network (t-mobile) but you do get HSDPA with them and they do sim only plans too.

Virgin Mobile never entered my mind
![]() Looking at their plans, in terms of minutes, their £8.50 30 day contract is perfect, however, I don't think it includes any "Web Access" but instead, charge 30p per day for 25MB (if you go over this, its a fixed cost of £1.69 per day) The cheapest plan with included "Web Access", is the £15 30 day contract with a 1GB fair use policy. Any other suggestions / ideas / pro's or con's would be most welcome |

I have the £15 monthly sim-only contract with Three and haven't had any problems so far. Tesco also do a £10 monthly contract with 500 minutes but I'm not sure if the internet is capped at 500MB.

I found Giffgaff was the cheapest way to run my iphone 3gs when my contract ran out. Their cheapest monthly package is about £10, with internet included.

Deals will have almost certainly changed by the time your contract expires. Way too early to look at deals now.
After the contract on my iPhone 3G expired, I switch to 3 at a 1month rolling contract plan. Then saw Quidco were doing £200 cashback on 12 month O2 SIM only deals, so switched to them, effectively paying £8.33/month this year. Keep an eye on Quidco/other cashback sites nearer the time

Quidco sounds a great idea, I will try to remember to take a look when the time comes. |
