I don't like Katie, but is Its my Life by No Doubt, almost too perfect for her? I feel like she could nail this song.

It was originally sung by Talk Talk, but never mind. I love that song. Katie could probably do a reasonable job of the No Doubt version but her doing the Gwen Stefani impression yet again would be a bit dull.

Katie could not nail any song. Voice is far too weak. 'Help' will be as good as she gets.

Sorry but... is she singing this or are you just discussing her singing it?

Yes, mind. No Doubt's version is atrocious.

Katie has a good voice. As long as she sings with a bit of confidence she will be fine.

She already sang Don't Speak though and she was absolutely crap (When she should have been good imo) I can't see It's My Life being any better.

Any comparison with Gwen Stefani should be avoided like the plague, she butchered Don't Speak and will to this

It might be the Bon Jovi It's My Life, being rock week.
Or even better, the Dr Alban song of the same name!

So she's murdered Don't Speak already and decided to slaughter another Classic No Doubt song.

Brilliant.

The speed of the verse is perfect for her to do that pathetic baby voice singing that she does though. Unfortunately.

Yes, mind. No Doubt's version is atrocious.
This.

And this again.

No Doubt's cover of that song is horrible in every single way. The lyrics just don't work with an affected whiny-raspy delivery. They need absolute conviction. It's the perfect example of a karaoke cover.

Katie covering that would be like a poor quality of a poor quality photocopy, full of noise and hiss but ultimately meaningless.

The Talk Talk version is not remotely rock. It'll either be the No Doubt version or more likely, Bon Jovi. For what it's worth, I far prefer No Doubt's version.

Interesting that the No Doubt version be described as whiny, when that's a far more accurate description of the Talk Talk song.

Repeat after me...

Its NOT a No Doubt song. It was originally released by Talk Talk in the 1980s.
