Why does the XF want to create clones?
Let people be themselves. If the audience don't like it they can vote them off.

I completely agree. Except with the bit about the voice.

I've seen the song spoilers and let's say Becca will give a surprise...

But the people that like her are entertained by her vocals and class she brings to tabloid trashy show, where several of the contestants belong on the Jerry Springer show; those that like Wagob are entertained by his antics. Not one person on this show is going to appeal to everyone, that is why there is variety for different people, different acts. If she goes out, she goes out, if she doesn't then great.

Wrong. It's called people from LIVAPOOOL votin for her cos she's from LIVAPOOOL

Did I mention she's from LIVAPOOOL?

Sure last week she said herself she was mad nervous and confused cos she had to 'move' - she WALKED to front stage, then to the sides

I am very happy with the idea of a stylish singer on the X Factor, entertaining inbetween watching the trash. I just disagree that Rebecca is entertaining. She is completely lovely. There is nothing to dislike about her, except for the two minutes every week when she stands at a microphone, switches all traceable sign of a personality or charisma off and does her impression of a lounge singer. Then, once it's over and the judges stop talking, she wakes up and we see her personality again.

Lovely girl. Terrible entertainer.

Wrong, I am not from Liverpool.

I'd like to see her out of her comfort zone, it's about the X factor not just best voice. That goes for all the contestants.

But to me the likes of Cher are quite boring to watch, Wagner is getting boring, One Direction, please help me, it's lame karaoke at best. I'm not fooled by the crap choreography going on around them; it does not entertain me; it's just cheap gimmicks; if it was about that I'd watch a movie. I'm interested in vocals, and I love Rebecca's voice. I also find Rebecca's personality a plus rather than a negative; I hate arrogant t**ts that come on these shows that have no talent. With her I feel there is way more she can give but not so much with the others.

And I respect your opinion. Wagner has had me close to tears since week four, but I am desparate to see him win. It would serve Cowell right for going after the cash at the expense of a quality show.

Rebecca's personality increases the further she gets from a microphone. In the VT, she must be miles for a microphone, because she is brilliant. She's just a crap entertainer. (better than Wagner though )

Why?
That sounds cruel.....leaving aside the fact that anyone performing to several million viewers is probably out of their comfort zone anyway.
I can't understand this relentless urge to make everyone the same.
She has her own style. If you don't like it, vote for someone else.

I don't think she'll be any good on an upbeat song, it's just not her style..

She was overcome with nerves having to walk across the stage, so I wouldn't be holding out for a dynamic performance.

Teardrops is reasonably upbeat, as was Fireflies and she did very well. Her dance track (link below in case you've not heard it but would like to) is very upbeat and from what I've read and heard her say, I get the impression that upbeat is what she been used to for years. We know that when she auditioned for stage school, she sang a Destiny's Child number. Her idols are Whitney, Aretha and varies R&B and rap artists.

When people come on the stage for the first time before the XF judges, they've already been auditioned by producers. The good ones, who have the potential to go far have already been selected to fit roles and play parts. Sad but that's how it is and in Rebecca's case that role was shy jazz songstress.

Talking of her comfort zone, the most uncomfortable she's looked is when singing really slow numbers (Candle..., Yesterday). I actually think she may have been out of her comfort zone from week 1. I think they bring out her nerves more.

And Teardrops was terrible. She was off key and shaky from start to finish.

Neither were particularly upbeat and Rebecca has a way of making songs plod along.

Are you for real?

I NEVER SAID ALL

I clearly meant that a large chunk of her votes are comin from Liverpool, just cos shes a local

its the same for all the acts, the hometowns support regardless, but the judges keep reiterating where shes from

so there.

If it's the same for all acts, having their hometown supporting them (large majority of votes from their hometown)-- then why do you make such fuss that she's from Liverpool, hence getting the Liverpool votes

Because the judges keep sayin it about Rebecca, and have never said it about anyone else

People who only start watchin from the live shows might not know where the acts are from

I really love rebecca's voice but do admit im getting a bit fed up too...surely she can look a little more animated, maybe shimmy a bit, move her hips? She doesnt have to move her feet but something would be good. I would find it hard to believe she cant "get down" a bit
