Sausage/stew recipe?
Hi, has anyone got a good sausage stew or casserole recipe that doesn't involve beans or lentils, and that isn't too tomato-y? (I don't mind using a small bit of tomato pureé or passata).
Thanks.

Sausages
onion mushrooms red pepper veg stock cube squirt of tomato puree good dash of paprika. Brown the sausage & put in a casserole dish with the other ingredients & cook in the oven for about an hour. I use my slow cooker for this recipe. |

http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes...ecipe_p_1.html Could I omit the rashers? I'd find it far too salty with both sausages and rashers in.And could I substitute the Guinness? |

A very quick sausage and bean casserole -
Fry onion and garlic in olive oil, add good sausages (any variety, but Toulouse are best) to brown, a good tablespoon of tomato puree, fry for a minute, then put in drained canned white beans (either cannellini or haricot), 1 tin of tomatoes, sliced peppers and/or mushrooms if you have any (otherwise leave out). Smoked paprika to taste. Oven at 180C for 1 hour. Nice served with mash. |

I think you're missing out cooking the potatoes in the juices. Also i'm not a fan of mash

I'm considering experimenting with a sausage soup. I'm thinking of putting potatoes on the start so that they completely disintegrate and add a nice thickness to it. What do ye reckon?
