She is a national embarrassment. Why is it that some people prize mediocrity over talent and effort?

I cannot abide the woman and want her gone as soon as humanly possible, but was anybody else actually (grudgingly, reluctantly, but genuinely) impressed by whoever came up with the theme for that rumba? The 'dance of love' would have been even more of a travesty danced by this pair, had Anton not chosen to play the ghost of Jack dancing with the older version of Rose. I mean, that was a genius idea and I do think he deserves some credit for that.

Shame about the execution of the dance, of course, but just thought I'd mention it.

There was no "performance" from Anne tonight or on any other show night that I can see!

She has no regard for any of the other dancers.

She is deluded and appears to be enjoying the redicule that is aimed at her by the judges each week.

There has not been any improvement in her dancing ability in the whole 9 weeks.

Please!!! It is time for her to go and VERY soon.

I think people will keep her in and comments from Craig like the frigid comment tonight (disgraceful) are not going to help.

I was hoping the scoring scandals of tonight and the footage of Ann's dreadful arrogance might tip the balance, but maybe I'm the delusional one, lol!!!

I've actually grown rather fond of old Widdy. She's clearly having the time of her life, and you can tell that she and Anton are becoming much closer (they're a lot more touchy-feely now). I'm glad she doesn't take the show too seriously. She doesn't get wound-up and competitive; she argues with the "judges", who are basically just vastly overpaid seat-fillers; she doesn't blather on about "journeys" and how it's "changed her life" etc etc. because she knows its only a bloody dance programme; she has bucketloads of personality and character and clearly stands out from the ranks of bland washed-up soap actors that normally fill the show. Old Widdy is the life of the party, and I'm pleased to see she's pissing a lot of people off!

You're not We're in the minority but that doesn't mean we're delusional. We're the ones that are treating this competition the way the contestants are. The voters for Ann are treating this competition the way she does - with no respect.

Ann voters remind me of the people that voted Arnie into office and got Boris the mayor job. It's all fun and games, apart from the people working their socks off but who cares about them when there's an idiot who's completely without talent to laugh at?

I like her. Funny old bag, says it as it is, but at least she is having a go, even if she can't dance. Can't see what the problem is. Show is boring as hell anyway, so might as well have some other form of entertainment to stop me falling asleep

I look forwards to seeing what she will do next week.

Everyone has said they want to win -- why shouldn't she?

Wouldn't it be insulting to the people who are voting for her to say she doesn't want to win?

(And as I've said elsewhere - I don't vote for Ann - I just don't understand all of this hand wringing and pearl clutching angst about 'respecting the competition' and ' this will be the end of Strictly'. )

She was on the Andrew Marr show this morning. When asked i it was a serious Dance Competition her answer was

"if it was a serious dance competition, why on earth would they start with Kara Tointon and Anne Widdicombe?"

That's more like it. I think a "judge's strike" is called for - "Ann has declined to dance, so we can't give her a score".

She'd still be bottom of the leader board and would probably garner even more votes because of it.

She probably thinks she can dance samba, too. Why didn't she rather go eat bugs in the jungle? That would be more up her street than being in a programme where the goal is trying to be good at something.

What bugs me about Ann is that she doesn't seem to be trying, relying instead on the public to vote her through regardless. To me this is arrogance.

John Seargant was blummin' awful, but at least you got the sense that he was trying his utmost and improving, slightly, week by week.

Ann's performance this week was like a GMTV presenter in her first or second week, standing still most of the time while Anton worked his bits off around her, then occasionally stomping around the floor vaguely in time to the music, but not actually dancing.

I'd have no problem with her if it looked like she actually game a damn, but if it goes on like this sooner or later she's going to force out one of the "big four" who have given heart and soul this year and all deserve a shot at the final. That would be so unfair on people who've worked so hard.

I havent liked her from the beginning and she has gotten worse - she is rude, arrogent and generally annoying, she doesnt let the judges give their comments before interrupting them, she assumes that she is going to be put through by the public vote and she cant dance!!!!!

A typical politician. No care for who or where the votes are coming from, just that they are votes.

With the anti feeling here and everywhere else, it is clearly a spoiler group and not genuine fans keeping them in.

Nope. I think Craig is great and an excellent judge but he is never going to learn that comments like that lead to phone votes.

I think you maybe wrong there, the voters on Strictly will surely vastly outnumber the few of us here on DS?
