The kid on the far left (our left) looked quite pee'd off and deflated. Why?

Probs because he was initially the fan favourite and now with the live shows Harry has overtaken him in popularity

I think that's probs true. he held them together for the first shows with his singing and now Harry is reaping all the rewards for it it seems.
Feel a bit sorry for him. |

Maybe it's because he resents being put together and having to act like best mates with the other boys when he entered the show for solo glory.

Because his daft hair gives him an itchy forehead and he can't wait to get off stage and scratch it.

I can see him leaving the band in January,Robbie Williams style and being a top solo global superstar by the summer, perhaps headlining Glastonbury?
To hell with the other 4 holding him back

He's the blandest one in the group. He needs them more than they need him, frankly. He'd never make it as a soloist but it's blatantly clear that's what he'd much rather be doing.

Don't worry about him, the wind hitting his face when he's driving his ferarri next year will dry his tears.

Liam sounds like he should be in a musical rather than a pop band. However, until Harry built up his confidence on stage, he was allowed to take the leads in songs. He acts like he is the singe and the rest are his backing group. The others, particularly Harry, have the likeability factor.
The band will disband because Liam will not hack this. |

It was when Harry was getting all the credit for the song choice. I'll bet it was Liam's idea.

After watching it back, he was being hard on himself thinking maybe he didn't nail the beginning of the song like he wanted to. He looked disappointed as soon as the song was over, so it likely had nothing to do with the later comments about Harry picking the song.

The one on the far right didn't look too happy either even though they let him sing a line this week. There is no way they will last as a group as Liam obviously doesn't like Harry being numero uno, Harry will think he can make it as a solo singer and the three Ringos are just making up the numbers.
If they win they may last a year, if they don't I'd give them a few months at most. |

According to Krankylou who's friend was at both the rehersal and the live shows origanally Liam was supposed to sing lead in You Are So Beautiful (he did in all the rehersals) but became upset after Summer of 69 and was being comforted by the other boys, Simon then disappeared with them for a couple of minutes then when they came back on to perform Harry sang Liam's lead vocals and Liam just sang Harry's part?!?!?! Maybe Liam had a sore throat or a bad case of nerves or something?

Liam always does look unconfortable along side the other lads.
I think he knows that he has done a lot of the work nearly every week. But yesterday Simon seemed keen to promote Harry to the forefront probably because Simon believes that Harry is the most popular with girlie fans. Simon then praised Zayn for his one line solo but didn't mention Liam. Liam is good enough to be a soloist but he is now stuck in that band. I really do not believe that those five are the best of friends, maybe the others feel that, but not Liam. |

I didn't notice this last night but in previous weeks have thought Liam didn't look particularly comfortable with the other four alongside him. I was actually very surprised when he didn't make it through to the judges' houses as a soloist as I thought his auditions were incredible. Unfortunately he hasn't come close to that sort of standard since being in the group so either
a) the judges were right and he isn't actually good enough as a soloist - after all we only saw clips in the audition shows rather than full songs b) he's not suited to being in a group and it's affecting his performance It does seem like they are pushing Harry as he's the one the girls fancy. I remember reading a story a couple of weeks ago about tension in the group as to who was getting the most attention and Liam's mum wading in saying he was bound to be the most popular as he already had a following. I thought Simon's comments last night were totally to pander to the Harry fans - suggesting a song is no big deal, but Simon was talking as if Harry had written the damn thing! I thought Harry responded very well, he seems like a lovely boy, he's just a very weak singer! The praise of Zain was no doubt in response to all of us who say he is only there for his looks. I have to say Zain's weak singing kinda proved that for me. The Wands really have to win this to have any hope of a career. I know the majority of successful boy bands are put together by their management but the difference here is that they have been given no time to gel - if they'd been put together without the live shows looming, I imagine the final line-up would not include at least 3 of the current mob. Given Simon's obsession with putting groups together, I don't know why he doesn't go back to the Popstars the Rivals format and do it properly. |

I totally disagree with all of the talk about the boys not being close. Also, I think Liam and Harry get on much better than people think...The two actually seem to have a mutual respect for each other. It fact it seems he his probably closest to Harry- other than Zayn.
I'm sure there is the normal amount of occasional jealousy or bickering... but I totally think such petty stuff is only in the line of how 5 brothers would be. (Sort of mofia mentality- we can talk about each other but nobody else can). And I think their genuine bond will only grow. I think Liam is certainly the perfectionist of the bunch, which gets misread at times. I think they have massive potential and I hope they win. However, I did not think this was their best week & thought the song choices were not good. Hopefully they will be more saavy with the song choices next week. |

And if people actually watch when they're receiving the comments for YASB, far from being sullen and jealous, Liam has his arm around Harry's shoulder throughout and he pats Zain on the back and grins when Simon makes the comments about him having improved. People see what they want to see where this group is concerned. |
