For some reason the contestants went out of order on the 2nd songs with Cher getting the prime last spot.
Antbody know why?

It seems because she was bottom last week, they are pulling out all the stops for Cher this week!!

so cheryl could get one girl last before the voting opened, and then a different girl last to finish the show.

I guess they really want Cher to get through...

Personally, I hope it backfires on them and she ends up in the bottom two again. I know she won't go, because, hey, chosen one, but still. It would make me feel better about the manipulation not working!!

I suspect there was some problem in costume or makeup behind stage for Cher or Matt or something.

Problem with Cher backstage maybe?

I suspect you work for Syco.

One reason and one reason only - they needed Cher last in a last ditch effort to save her after the public showed their true feelings towards her last week.

Is changing Cher from third last, to last REALLY going to affect the voting? No.

It means that two of Cheryl's acts got the two pimp slots that were going this evening.

Also,Cher and Katie have now closed a show twice out of only eight live shows.

So why do it then?

They always change the order in the second half. In fact usually more than they changed it this time.

Neither Cher nor Katie, nor Rebecca, are the chosen ones. Matt is. The manipulation started from the moment his audition was broadcast and is unfortunately working.

There could be a number of reasons - Stage needs to be done, dancers can't do two performances in a row, there was a problem with the VT's...

They often change the order, as I said in another thread on the matter, they moved Lloyd Daniels last year to an earlier slot in the second half (and he was the second performer on the first half as it was!)

Befor tonight' show Cher has had the LOWEST average performance order of any of the remaining contestants.

Dancers still wouldn't have done two dances in a row considering rebecca was inbetween.

it was to show off a chavvy as can be lil brat abusing what was a good rock song in the 1970s and a good cross-over in the 1980s.

well .. after they all sung once . the votes opened .. cher was obviously not gettin the votes in .. so they changed the running order so she performed last

I was under the impression they usually changed the order slightly when it gets to the second round of songs. I definitely remember them changing the order a few times last year, it's nothing new and it's obvious they just want to get Wagner out by helping Cher/Katie as much as possible.

It used to be when they started having 2 songs per show that when one person sang first they also sang last - so that if Katie was last in the first batch of songs she would then be first in the second batch - and if Wagner was first in the first batch of songs then he would be last act on the night...

.... So, not only did they go all out to have Katie and Cher saved, they also gave a huge disadvantage to acts like Mary and Wagner..

I also think that it was wrong that the three girls were in the last four slots....

They changed the order last year during the sceond set of songs. So it isn't nothing they haven't done before. Sometimes it just comes down to who has the best song to close with.

Nah, don't be daft. It was to ensure Cher was given the most favourable slot, no doubt about it !
Sickening favouritism, I hope it backfires as another poster has said.

Seems the most likely reason to me.

Doesn't seem to have worked though as all the bookies have her well into the danger zone
