Which pro has consistently produced the best choreography this year?

For me it's Artem. I feel a little like I'm betraying my beloved Matthew because Artem helped to usurp him But I can't help it! I think Artem's dances this year have been phenomenal, especially his American smooth (screw you Len! ) - which is the dance of the series for me - his Argentine tango, his foxtrot, his paso and his QS. They meet Kara's abilities, they show off her strengths and they never fail to ignite. Fabulous addition to SCD.

Second place goes to Natalie. I loved her choreography for Ricky last year and she's proved it wasn't a flash in the pan with Scott's QS, jive and VW.

Worst so far have been Aliona and Anton

Agree - has to be Artem.

Also agree with Natalie as second choice.

Natalie for Ballroom, Artem for Latin IMO.

Dance-wise Artem has been stand out this year for me. He also seems a nice bloke. Natalie, though she grates on me, does produce some lovely ballroom stuff.

If we are talking routines which do the most for the celebrity's chances, Anton has been unsurpassed. Not, obviously, if we're talking dance choreography.

I can only talk about this year and yes I'd agree with Artem. I know that they don't always get the ultimate choice of music but I also think that he's been clever with what he has done with that too.

I also like Natalie's work and I think that Robin has done a good job playing to Patsy's strengths.

Special mention to Anton for his (as I saw it described on another thread) inventive use of his constant prop, Ann.

Artem. I haven't seen such a string of dances whose choreography I re-watch since Matthew with Alesha. I so wish they had been in the same series.

Actually for me it's James Jordan.

Not so sure about Aliona, as I think that her routines have been quite unique and refreshing. Besides Matt and Aliona are the most popular pairing of the lot.

Yes, I'd go along with that.

Not for me, sorry. I think she's let Matt down quite a lot and tonight was the worst of the bunch

I don't know who the most popular are (I suppose at the end of the week once everyone's voted, we'll see) but it doesn't really have much to do with this thread.

I think my head would have exploded had they been in the same series though. But then they would have pushed each other to greater heights...

I paused the paso that Matthew did earlier in the series at a point where you can see Matthew in the foreground and Artem (practically shirtless ) in the background. Ah. If only I could have that image as my wallpaper

Only because Len is portraying it to be bad, haven't got any time for his comments whatsoever. Suppose you listen to him and listen to him too much.

Artem, head and shoulders above anyone else. Natalie's ballroom has been pretty good, but I think artem is on both better.
I agree with anton's award for best use of a prop (ann).

I think you're being rather rude.

I make up my own mind, thank you. I thought it was awful. It just so happens so did Len.

Natalie for me, followed by Artem and Aliona.

Pamela is great but James is using WAY too many props - it only seems to be Katya who is still bothering with props and only then because she can't keep distracting the audience with Gav's guns.

Wasn't keen on Artem's American Smooth last week, although they danced it beautifully. Like a lot of Aliona's routines it was a bit show dance-y. Artem's AT was sublime though.

Could be that they all want to show off their celebs now in case they get knocked out later, but I'd like to see more traditional routines earlier in the show and save the tricks and experiments for the later weeks.

ETA glad to see that they have all ditched the mezzanine now. They should scrap that next year, what a waste of space!

Rude?got a form of autism mate. I'm enjoying Aliona's choreography and wouldn't change her any other way.

Artem. When they did the cha cha week 1 I thought wow, who is this guy?! His choreography has been on an upward trajectory ever since, and it's probably the reason I warmed to their partnership so quickly.

Doesn't alter the fact it was rude.

Aliona's choreography's always been a bit hit and miss, tonight was a semi-hit for me.

Ok mate, concede defeat. Would like it if you were a bit more patient with me please. That is part of my disability and you can look at information packs about autism and people who are in the autistic spectrum. Apologise for the rudeness, however I haven't lied at all thus if I didn't have any integrity you would dislike me more.

I'm in the Aliona choreography appreciation corner, even Karen Hardy has praised Alionas Chooreography on itt. Shall we just cut this arguement as it is going to get us nowhere.

Read my post I've sent to Tangerine 82, apologise and can we call it quits?
