Wagner goes on 1st during both sets of songs

Katie is last on before lines open

Cher is last on before the show ends
They're trying to screw Wagner as badly as possible and help out Katie and Cher with the votes because they need the most help.

I'm sure, ideally they want Wagner outright bottom which is why they're helping the statistically weaker acts make ground

I think being on first after lines open can work to your advantage as well?

Katie was last in last week's show.
This week she is one before the last.
Of course, it's just a coincidence.

"In no particular order" my a**.

Yes, I don't think the voting order matters so much now that there are two performances. If anything, it's the ones in the middle that potentially get lost. Having said that, there aren't that many contestants left now and performance order matters less and less.

Agree, I don't think the order matters anymore, than lets say in the first week when there were 16 acts, poor first 3 acts were getting forgotten about because the show was like 2h 45 mins long.

your absolutely right there and im surprised nothing was said in the studio about this. From day one the show has been fixed so Cheryl Tweedys acts(i call her tweedy cos shes divorced and doesnt deserve to have the name cole anymore)make the final.Cher Lloyd has to be the biggest heap of crap to grace our screens in ages and as for the weasel, dont get me started.Paige who was voted out last week stole the show yet miss anorexia lloyd gets through.Ofcom should be looking into this because whats the point in voting if the lowest dont go home.change the rules now

Tonight was the first time that Wagner had ever performed in the first half of the show. Of all the people who can complain of being hard done by through the running order, Wagner is not one of them. By contrast, in the first 7 weeks, Cher only performed in the second half of the show on two occasions.

Also, at this stage it matters less and despite the idea that "the death slot" is first, in the past 4 weeks it has been the second section of the show (those singing 2nd/3rd) who have fared worst. Perhaps they're trying to get rid of One Direction?

Wagner was overdue an early slot as they've been putting him on quite late most weeks.

In week 2 she was second last. She was generally on quite late in the first few weeks.

Cher and One Direction had early slots in week 2 and would you believe it John actually performed after them so I don't believe these fix claims regarding performance order.

Oh, for Christ's sake. The whole point of the judge's vote is SO they can save an act the public want out. How the bloody hell do you expect OFCOM to get involved and criticise a programme for doing exactly what ts said it would do? The judges are doing what they're doing simply to annoy you, and the whole point of the programme is that they will do so. It's not hard.

Week 8 - 5/7

I have A LOT of time on my hands so I worked out how far into the show the contestant goes on on average (in %age)

Mary 49%
Rebecca - 50%
Cher - 52%
Matt - 59%
One Direction - 59%
Wagner - 64%
Katie - 74%

So yes - Katie is shown better slots, but Wagner fares notably better than the rest, particularly Mary, Rebecca and CHER.... Cher hasn't had super fixed epic showtimes. Get over yourselves. Also - the only 3 acts so far to have performed first are - Cher, Mary and Wagner. And Wagner has only done it this week.

By this stage of the game it really doesn't matter, I think. People have sorted out who they want to vote for and there are only relatively few acts left.

Being first for Wagner would help him, I should imagine, because people might forget just how appallingly awful he was.
