The first line was F**KING DREADFUL.

Stipe will be throwing up his ARSEHOLE listening to that!

I could have sung that better!!
Katie & Mary Defo in Bottom 3.

I had to go listen to my REM cd after so my ears would stop bleeding.
Also, loved the weak little "wooo" during Sex on fire ...

Some people should be thrown to jail for murdering classic songs.
And Simon Cowell should be chief amongst them for orchestrating this massacre.

Simon was also right about the arrangement being really bad. The song doesn't suit being chopped up in the way they did it.

It was not long after the first line that Cheryl was caught on camera pulling a 'what the f8ck was that?' face to Louis.

Was it slightly faster than the original? I do agree Katie didnt do well ,its hard to match Stipe. But Sex On Fire was a good performance.
It can't be easy given songs that do not suit your voice/range,especially sang by opposite sex. Do not blame Katie ,blame Cole.

Katie and Mary gave amazing performances.

They need to stop giving her brilliant songs to murder.

Exactly, the idea was to get Katie bottom 3, nothing else.

Anyhone voting for Matt, Rebecca or One Direction are simply feeding everything that is bad about the xfactor machine and its pre set finalists.

Cowell was right with his comments about how it was a mistake to try and cram Everybody Hurts in like that. Also it wasn't in a good key for Katie to sing it. A stitch-up by the production team if ever there was one!

Actually - Ive posted a comment on every song sung.

Mary ive said with Katie will be in bottom 2.

I'm more of a Rock guy, Bands you would never of heard of.

Big Linda, Sons of Albion, Zenyth and many more, Bands that this show kills.

chopping up the song was the least of her worries.. the fakeness of the performance was unbearable..

I agree it was awful...really really bad. Her voice is so weak why the hell the judges think she has something 'special' is beyond me. Only thing I can think of is her gran has something on one of the panel.

I've begun to come into these kinds of threads to actively seek out the Katie was OK/good/great comments. They are like my guilty pleasure and evidence that I have been transported to a parallel universe where Katie and Cher apparently have star quality and stage presence - and can sing. Katie is dire, awful, dreadful, useless, incredibly limited and hazardous to fillings. And that's just her voice.

Sex on fire was a good performance????

Were you listening with the sound off? She doe not have the vocal power to take on that song, she has a week voice, yes it can sound good but she did not do that song (or any the past few weeks) well
