How does Rebecca manage to make every song she sings incredibly boring?
Every single song she has sung I have just switched off, I don't know why. Her voice has a good tone, but she doesn't do anything interesting with it, I can't feel any emotion in what she's singing because she just sings in the same kinda dull tone all throughout. Eventhough she clearly has a far better voice than say, Cher, I enjoy Cher's vocals more. The performance I enjoyed most from Rebecca was "Yesterday", and that's just because I love the song, but even that felt like she could have done SO much more with it.
I guess it's probably down to a personal preference thing, there are certain singers whose voice will send shivers down my spine but Rebeccas is not one of them. |

Because she just stands there with her shoulders hunched. Zero stage presence.

Very easily! Very consistantly and with very little effort!

I was gutted to watch her stand there for the 1st song and not walk around a little, but that didn't prevent me for enjoying her voice.

Rebecca is a real problem. The tone of her voice is fantastic but she has no presence, no performance skills and rarely manages to convey any emotion or meaning (her audition song is still her best performance!). It's a great shame as she could be truly amazing but her performances usually leave me feeling short-changed.

It's not so much the sound as the fact that she is making no attempt to "perform" the songs. She's just standing there rigid and not connecting to the audience at all,as if she is singing in an isolation booth in a recording studio.
If anyone thinks you can become a star by not performing the songs to your audience, they are mistaken. |

When she was performing "Satisfaction" I wanted to reach thru my monitor and shake her and scream " Move Woman, Move!".
She had the opportunity to really make that performance a show-stopper. But alas, her version just lacked spark. If she would just kick it into gear (just a wee bit, that's all I'm asking Rebecca) she could be unstoppable. Shame really. |

i think she will make the final but i dont think she is a contender to win anymore.

You can see her having fun with Brian during the little segment before she's on, i think she's just super nervous and gets paralyzed in front of the huge crowd, i'm sure she'll get over it with time (and a bit of bubbly)

'Satisfaction' and Matt's 'Knights in white satin' were the 2 stand out performances for me tonight, but have to give some points also to Katie who nailed both her songs even though I am not a Katie fan.

She is a good singer. Just so shy that she just sings, and nothing else. She doesn't show any emotion, passion or understanding of anything she is saying
People may say she is subtle. But I just don't get it. I love her voice, just not the way she sings. She just seems to lack emotion for the words. Just makes almsost everything she sings so... don't know. it's just what it is. An extremely pleasant voice. but no depth. She's good. But I just don't feel anything when I hear her sing. |

I love Rebecca.
She is the one for me ,such a distinctive voice. She will be a great recording artist. The confidence will come in time. I thought she was great last night. So nice to see someone who is not cocky. She really as no idea how good she is. Love her. |

She did move her legs a bit, not as much as Brian Friedman seemed to want her to move on the VT, but a bit.
So her 'dancing' is improving

I am one of the 'Rebecca seems to tick all the boxes but there's still something missing' brigade. However, I loved her Rolling Stones song - thought she was fab and there was a sultry siren thing going on that I think we don't always see for her lack of confidence and nerve attacks.

She is NOT a good singer. She has a good tone but doesn't use her voice well, and has the personality of wallpaper.
