Why was Kara laughing after doing the upside down splits, did Artem see something he shouldn't?

Kara's 9's last night may have been a bit much, but so were the 9's from Alesha & Bruno for Scott's shaky American Smooth. Ann was marked 5's for an awful Rumba, which I'd say was more than generous.

Pamela's Charleston was worse than Kara's a few weeks back, yet got 10's simply because they can give them out now. Matt was slightly undermarked in comparison to Kara's scores. Scott got 8's and 9's in blackpool for a stiff Samba.

I love all the top 4 (Matt, Kara, Scott & Pamela) but there's no denying they can be overmarked. They all can. Unfortunately, I think the judges set themselves up for the fall when they start scoring highly in the first weeks, and then score the person who dances first so high it leaves little wiggle room.”

I think this is the whole problem in a nutshell! I really do not think the judges should be allowed to score more than 8 for the first few weeks at least. All (well, most!)of the dancers improve as the weeks go by no matter how good they are at the beginning. The only judge that seems to have any credibility in marking IMO is Craig who marks on the dance he sees and not on likeability/cuteness/sympathy/favour/and 'cos they tried'!

By scoring highly at the beginning of the series and, more especially,at the beginning of each show, they leave themselves no room for manouevre. The audience doesn't help either, by baying and booing when a favourite is not given automatic 10's!

None of the dances IMO last saturday deserved 9's never mind 10's......there were just too many faults in each performance. Wonder what the judges thought when they watched the tapes back!
