If this Story is True or even half true then some peeps need to get a Grip, get a Life, & grow up fast,! No one deserves to have to live in Fear!

I do wonder though if it's just another stunt to try & get Cher a Sympathy vote for Tonight! Typical Cowel move will it work? yes it probably will the Problem is for how much Longer? Cher isn't going anywhere but back home to Mum & Dad, Cher like all Contestants is just another Cog in the wheel of Cowel to be used then Dumped!

"But it hit her so hard when her fans forgot to vote"

Yeah sure, you keep telling yourself that..

No one should ever send threats like this, no matter how much you dislike a person it is bang out of order.

On a side note, and in my opinion the judges have generated a lot of this 'hate' towards Cher and Katie by simply not telling the truth regarding their performances on stage, instead they have tried to big them both up and tried to 'MAKE' the public like them as much as they do, which has naturally backfired I just hope maybe they will look back at a later date and realise this. Also the families have not helped matters by talking to the press etc... I'm not excusing the behaviour of the people behind the threats in any way shape and form, but people like judges-family-production team-press etc do have to be very careful and not let the public feel like they are being taken for fools - this year it seems more than any other year a lot of the public do feel this way.

Yes, it was just as well Cher didn't see that nasty threat. I commend the parents for hiding it from her and not selling the resultant story to a newspaper where she would be able to read about it.

If that happened to one of my children then I'd withdraw them from the public eye quickly. Their sanity is more important than fame and fortune

Absolutely. How very wise of them.

I am sure Cher will be eternally grateful her parents managed to not let her know about this.

Wow.

They are so poor and live on benefits, but have a 72 inch TV.

Have to agree with you. There's no way any decent parent would allow their 17 year old to be going through that.

I wonder though if this is really true. Surely the cops would be investigating that and could track down who sent it.

I am very cynical though and if it is true it's most disturbing.

They can have my two sheds. I want to knock them down to make a patio.

Maybe the skeleton was a reference to the fact she murders songs on a weekly basis?

Why would anyone threten to kill a 17 year old. What has she done? She's just trying to live her dream and doesn't need all these hate campaigns.

Stop it now

So? You can get one from a catalogue and pay it off for £3 a week.

I've never understood this TV argument against benefits to be honest, it's not like it's 1968 and only one house in the street can afford a TV.

I think the point is,If you were really that, tight on money, is a 72 inch tv a necessity.

Well Katie Weasal has commented

Cher says she's been getting death threats. Bit late for that tactic. That was number 4 in my 10 point plan to turn around public opinion

I don't know, what is the official number of inches a person is allowed on benefits?

It would have to be CRT of course, never plasma!

A 32" LCD would be more than sufficient as a TV for the Lloyd family. I mean, a 72" plasma???

You make some very valid points. It also seems to me that the judges and producers have courted the press this year, wanting to use them for the publicity to generate interest; Simon has said on more than one occassion that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Problem is when you try and use the 'beast' to your advantage it will eventually turn round and bite you in the bum (ask Katie Price) and sadly its the contestants that are bearing the brunt of this. They and their families should have been advised to never talk to the press, or at least have some media savvy training, but Mr Cowell and co seem to be doing nothing to discourage it.

Yea. Where do they live, in a Cinema

Much has been made of Cher's "rough" background. One of her relatives was jailed for six years in 2001 for GBH. Another admitted ABH after beating up a woman in the same incident. Another relative was banned for drink-driving in 2003. When stopped by police, he gave his name as Harry Potter and his address as The Philosopher's Stone.

No wonder Biffa likes her so much then.

And people ****ing find this funny do they? How about if it was precious Matt or Rebecca getting these death threats people would be fuming. Let's laugh at a 17 year old girl getting death threats.

Good one.

I wonder why this report names Cher's mother as being named Dina?

On the X factor interviews she gave her name as Diane.

I have checked on the family history website we use and

Darren A Lloyd married Diane Smith in April 2000 at Malvern

Weird.

Yea. You tell them.

Shame on you all who are laughing at this. She's only 17, the youngest soloist still left in the competition.

Give her a break, she's only realising her dream

I find it soo funny that a few bored adolescent children on social network sites saying childish things gets labeled as "death threats" just because it's convenient to appeal for sympathy, Katie was in the bottom so she got the death threat publicity reel and now because Cher was in the bottom two she now gets the death threat publicity boost, they really think the public are muppet's or something
