The BBC made him drop and reschedule his Sunday-Thursday shows.

Btw Matt Allwright from watchdog/ Rogue Traders is hosting The One show next week.

I'd be more sad about him leaving Countryfile, I love that programme

I would think IF Matt does not do the tour it would have to be the BBC who get him out of it if they want him on the One Show sofa for four nights per week. That then begs the question why keep Chris Evans for Friday and not let Matt do five nights?

I also love Countryfile and would be more sad about him leaving that.

I think Chris Evans doing Fridays was the reason Adrian Chiles left in the first place. He objected to Chris taking over Fridays (understandably since he'd been managing very well for years) so went to ITV. Don't know if the Chris Evans Friday show has been a success for them or not, I never watch it anyway. I didn't know who he was, but one look at him and I switched channels and have avoided it ever since. But the BBC seemed to think it was a good idea to ruin Friday's show, so I imagine it's more a question of finding someone to do the other 4 days than finding someone who can do the whole week, if you see what I mean.

Matt is still on the website

Wouldnt they have changed that by now if he wasnt doing it? its false advertising surely - to say he is doing it if he isnt

Chris Evans on Fridays is a dizaaaaarster, dahling.

Honestly - he keeps forgetting his hair's no longer foxy red, so his eccentric outbursts look really weird. No chemistry whatsoever with the bird sitting on his left (what bird? oh, there's someone else there too? why didn't anybody tell me! what does she look like?)

etc

Matt all the way, for me.

His fans.

Most other participants are unappealing to me anyway, especially smug Ricky.

I'd go to see Matt, Jimi & Tina.

Just an update: Matt was interviewed on Sunday at the Children's BAFTAs, the video for which has just surfaced, and he confirmed out-right that:

a) He had signed nothing for the One Show - he still appeared to be in negotiations

b) He hadn't quit Countryfile, and didn't want to. I got the impression this was the sticking point with confirming the One Show gig.

He didn't mention the SCD tour outright, but I'm presuming that since the One Show thing isn't confirmed, and he hasn't quit Countryfile as previously reported, then the SCD tour is still going ahead with him - for now at least.
