Rebecca is just so boring. There is nothing to remember. Think of the first performance you saw by her, and every other one since, and they are all the same. Nothing changes, nothing new to see.

Rebecca could be so much better given the right song. She can sing. Simon was saying "You're like Aretha", well give her a bloody Aretha song to sing then...

Satisfaction was great. Her first song was like something they'd play you if you were put on hold on the telephone.
I think she has a great voice but unfortunately she's a tad limited (unless Simon fancies a Motown comeback). |

The problem with Rebecca is that it is difficult to decipher one of her performances from the next.
She could have gone on holiday for the last 6 weeks & they could have just played a rerun of her week 1 performance & we would be none the wiser. Even her 2nd performance, which was hyped up as 'different' was 95% identicial to her previous ones. |

I know, I agree with dannii that she needs to do more of a performance next time!
Danni advised Matt to do the same and he has made a total **** of himself on at least two occasions stamping around the stage and gurning like a retard. It is clear to me that all of Matt's best performances have been when doing songs he's done before and has chosen himself. Have you ever heard Danni's music? She is shit. I would not be taking her advice too seriously if I were Rebecca, or Matt. They should both say: "thanks but f**k off" |

Agreed OP! She's a sweet, genuine girl but she is just totally forgettable once she's off stage. That's her problem - there isn't much memorable about her performances - they all blend into one big samey mess.
All I remember about her last night was that leopard print dress, nothing else.. |

A lot of people are becoming bored of her identikit performances & might not be so willing to spend money voting for her. |

![]() TBH, though, I can't remember what she sang, ever. I don't even know her name. All I know about her is that she is from Liverpool, she's 23 (?), she has 3 kids and her last name is.... Actually, what is her last name? |

She has a very interesting voice.
To win, this alone has to capture the audience and spur them to vote. She is not a dancer. She has a definite style and I admire her for sticking to it, but the only way she'll win is if enough people like it. She has done nothing to capture votes from other contestents. Her performances week after week say "This is me, take it or leave it". Good for her! If she does win it, she'll know she did it her way. |

Rebecca's problem, and it's a big one, is the unremittingly bimboid Cheryl, who doesn't know any of the artists Rebecca admires and who still wouldn't know what the blues was if Muddy Waters tattooed an explanation on the other side of her arse.
She has more talent and musicality than all the other performers but she can't show it unless she gets the right song. The last four songs, including the Aretha song, have been bad choices because she's not like Aretha, she's like Nina Simone. There is no higher praise than that. But the X-Factor (and digital spy for the most part, it would seem) demographic is occupied by people who prefer performing monkeys and miming pre-pubescent boys who give them a 'performance', whatever that means in their debased currency. When there are no artists left, and all we have are fame-hungry, talentless Katie Waissl lookalikes, a lot of the people currently on Rebecca's back will finally notice that they're 'boring' too. |

I'm surprised they haven't worked more on that with her - or maybe they have and she's just uncoordinated and lacking in rhythm like me!! |

As good as she is, and I have liked her from the off because I always go for vocal tone above all else, she's tending to put all her songs through a sound mincer - they all come out the same, so blend into one in memory. It's because she generally sings in a low range, and in a similar vocal style.
That and standing superglued to the spot does not help to differentiate any of her performances. There is no rhyme or reason why this girl cannot walk from side-to-side across the stage, to sing to the left of the audience and then the right, etc, even if she doesn't want to/cannot dance. She shows more activity walking on and off than she does while performing. She's a young mother but carries on like she's still heavily pregnant. |
