There is like 10 hate matt threads. I was wondering if anyone can sum up the facts/evidence/reasons why he is hated? Does he get bad press? If so what is it?

All i see is a guy who is miles ahead better at singing than anyone else in the competition...

He is hated because he looks so destined to win.

I don't like Matt because I think he needs to keep his mouth shut and he's too opinionated.

I used to like him a lot but the past few weeks he has come across as very arrogant, smug and bitter.

I think it's because in the papers there are stories of him taking shots at Wagner. Plus people who are favorites to win always have people who hate them. Can't say I disagree with his thoughts of Wanger though.

I dislike him because I think he's highly overrated and screeches when he sings.

But his attitude and demeanor say to me that he thinks above all of them, he deserves to win the most because he's a "serious musician" who plays the guitar and was in a band.

Why does anyone "hate" any reality TV contestant? So many tragic individuals around.

Because the favourite is always hated by the people who are fans of anyone but him...

Do you have evidence examples of him proving to be arrogant smug and bitter? I'm really lost as to why people think this. I don't watch xtra factor every week so are there segmants on there where he is proving to be these bad traits? confused.com !

I think he's disliked by fans of other artists because he is so good and has an excellent chance of winning.

This is the reason why.

There is no doubt that he is talented, but he just needs to concentrate on his singing & nothing else.

It is not for him to give his two penneth about Wagner.

Like him, Wagner was chosen by the JUDGES to go through to the live shows, so Wagner has just as much right to still be there, just like he is, because that is what the public have decreed.

If he's really upset about the show being ruined, he has two options:-

1) Take it up backstage with $imon & his jockstrap carriers.

2) Quit!

Yes. His attitude on Xtra Factor.

Having said that, he's a good singer and I'd like him to do better than most on the show.

But wagner is a terrible singer in a singing competition. He is also a horrible person and since we are going off wat is said in the press i have the right to say, he deserves to be slagged off.

because since Konnie exposed him as not liking Wagner it has gone down like a led balloon amongst many folk on here I personally don't like him because I feel he is over rated and he uses falsetto far too much

Apart from the fact that he has a pretty good chance of winning, I'd say its because he dared to face up to the bully that is Wagner and speak about it. (Depends very much on who you prefer as to which version you see as being true in your own mind)

The Wagnerites are baying for blood, especially after he was booed both times he sang last night. Matt is the target.

It was in the papers, so it must be true.

Us British people seem to hate (or put down) talented individuals. We always go for the underdog.

It's not only X Factor, you can see it on Strictly as well.

I personally take talent over novelty acts any day!

His attitude for me mainly.

He doesn't come across to me very well.

There is no doubt in my mind he can sing, but he is so negative towards the show and others.
