I don't find anything charismatic about Matt. He's very ambitious and that comes across as arrogance.

Along with Katie and Cher, his performances are too intense.(serious) and he wails too much, but I don't hate Matt.

I prefer watching Rebecca, Wagner, One Direction and Mary who seem to be enjoying themselves.

I don't hate him, I just find it really hard to connect with him as a person or an artist. Whether he intends to or not he comes across as a bit smug and arrogant. Musically he is probably one of the better singers this year, though I don't rate him as high as many others seem to, also his style is a little bland for my taste.

He's an OK singer but he doesn't float my boat. I think both he and Rebecca are too samey in their delivery every week. It's like watching paint dry to me. It's not just about having a good voice after all it's called the X Factor for a reason and I dont think either of em have it.

People can slag Matt off, and anyone who sticks up for him is a crazy Matt fan. Stalkerish.

Because he was getting boring but last night sort of turned that around. The guitar makes his act more interesting. I was even starting to call him "Matt the boring watching paint dry Cardle" But he deserves a good vote after last night

Looks like I'm gonna have to spell it out for ya. On numerous occasions some crazy stalkerish Matt fans (note not normal Matt fans) have had a go at someone for stating that they dislike Matt as though it's not allowed to have a negative opinion of him. *Gee couldn't careless that you have so much love for him but don't expect everyone to and that you can have a go just cos they don't share your opinion. Looks like my prediction that some mad hatter would respond to my post was right

I really don't rate him as a singer. There are hundreds of guys like him on the gigging circuit and Myspace. His singing style is too shouty and indulgent for me. A loud singing voice is not enough to give me goose bumps. He just doesn't have the X Factor in my opinion - he just can carry a note. However, he CLEARLY thinks he's god's gift to music and when his songs lapse into crooning, I just want to turn off.

Secondly....his attitude to other contestants. I don't know if Katie was the fall guy in covering up the alledged affair with Grace but I simple "It's not true" would have suffied but he chose a rather spiteful rant against her instead. And I don't even like Katie. Now Lord Loaf as apparently cheesed him off. He behaves like it's his competiton and everyone else is a nusance. He doesn't come across as a good competitior, more a spoilt brat. The X Factor is disposable Saturday Night evertainment...and yet he doesn't seem to grasp that andtreats it like it's a NME battle of the bands.

Thirdly - he appears to be mis-representing himself. Coldplay and Radiohead came from very comfortable backgrounds and private schools yet never had a pretend to be lowly painter and decorators. It's like he's denying who he is in order to claim working class musical credibility or to somehow complete a fictitious "journey" about an Essex painter come good. In other words...he's false.

I'm not a "hater"...I do have money on Matt to win (as well as Wagner and 1D) but he almost makes me as a viewer feel like I should be luckly to be a spectator to his divine talent..so I can't warm to his voice or act. I'm sorry...I've tried to like him but just...can't

If someone is popular among the general public, they are the devil incarnate on DS, and vice versa. It's silly, just ignore it.

I have a phobia of people with no necks.

A Matt clown is possibly my worst nightmare, and as such I must do everything to ensure that can never happen.
