On what grounds is it assumed that this group have a massive vote? It just seems a bit unquestioned. Yes I can see how much support they're getting from the production team but are enough people buying it? Cher received simillar promotion and preferential treatment prior to receiving possibly the lowest vote of all eight contestants last weekend. hat do these two acts have in common? They're both crap and both teenage.

All things considered, how much of a shock would it be if they appeared in the bottom three this evening?

They have a lot of multiple voting by teenage girls. Whether they are doing as well as people assume in the voting is another matter.

I assume they are now around 3rd in the voting - but as more acts go out and their voting base stays the same the more at risk they are.

How does being a teenager justify being bad?

Like I said, girls are criticised for liking them because they're young and cute, but some people on DS only dislike them because they'renyoung and cute, yet need a reason, so they say that they mime.

I don't mind them at all.

However, I do mind that they're being praised constantly for their group singing and togetherness when they're miming.

Their 2nd song last night was the only time that they didn't use a massive backing track, and surprise surprise, there were no harmonies.

I really don't think they mime, even Simon Cowell is not that stupid. Although I do think they have a loud backing track.

It's the same story every week. Liam will begin the song perfectly live, and then when it comes to the chorus, the miming by everybody kicks in. Harry might have the odd line singing live though.

I judge a group on how well they sing together and how well their harmonies blend. I can't do this with 1D because Simon insists on them miming.

For example, if you have 10 Mary voters and only 5 One Direction voters, One Direction would go through because the ten voters that Mary has would probably only vote a few times but the 5 One Direction voters would probably vote 20 times each. Don't think they'll be bottom.

They certainly weren't shown favouritism last night with the death slot but hey lets not spoil a good conspiracy theory!

Given how truly, truly awful the first attempt at a 'song' was, even for them, last night, I think this is the week when this 'huge following' theory is tested.
