Mass hysteria will not a winner make.
JoToBo

He won't win you know. There are more people that dislike him and are fed up with 'being there' every week at the cost of their favourite. The boos he got last night prove this. Even in the highly unlikley event that he makes it to the final, people will vote for whoever he is up against.

So if you're spending your money to p**s SC off, not working. As a protest against losing your favourite or the show, also not working.

Just not getting this Wagner hysteria at all.

Thought you were talking about Matt until I read the last line

Please don't tell me you judge public opinion based on the boos in the audience. When Dannii took a dig at Katie she got booed horribly, however you only have to check the thousand of comments left on facebook/twitter saying that Dannii was right and that they're sick of Katie! The mob in the studio are just ridiculous.

About the booing nonsense. It has been verified, time and time again, by DS members who get tix for the XF that the whole audience booing, clapping, chanting over the judges etc is managed by floor staff. I wouldn't take what the audience does to reflect actual voting etc,

Maybe that's why Wagner doesn't get too upset about it all?

Not to mention the carefully orchestrated chants of 'Katie! Katie!' last night. They must think our heads button up the back.

Doesn't matter who dislikes you, it's who votes for you that counts. That's the way this particular programme works.

The only hysteria seems to be that of the Wagless. Simon Cowell blah blah blah...lining his pockets blah blah blah...Wagner won't win blah blah blah.

Feel free to post in threads about contestants you support. You can do that as well you know. It might make you happier.

But to be fair....it's probably only us lot (as a small % of viewers/voters) who have gathered info on the behind the scenes game play after several series of XF.

Most people will just go with what they see and hear every week? Perhaps, though, Twitter etc makes a bit of a difference.

You may well be right, Zip. Still, surely with each series that passes, more and more people must start to get clued into the shenanigans employed by The X Factor, even if their suspicions are based only on observation and deduction rather than actual information?

LOlL @ shenanigans. You are too polite, lulu.

Correct though - if he makes the final 2 people will shift to his opponent (unless perhaps its Cher or 1 D - which I don't see).

A Matt vs Wagner final would be a landslide for Matt.

I think more people are getting clued up this series than ever before. I would guess that a majority of viewers now realise that Simon knows the results of the singoff, that performance order plays a role in the results, and that many contestants have links to TXF before they ever audition. Also, I think fewer people are being taken in by the 'that was the greatest performance EVER' comments (probably because they occur at least three times a week).

So did I.

He's the most unlikeable contestant left.

On second thoughts, I think you both are right. People are getting more and more clued up - it isn't just us online obsessors ().

Ohhhh....have to disagree. I think Katie (and I do like her voice) and Cher fight for that prize, IMO.

For me, Matt or Wagner winning XFactor will achieve the aim. They are very different being Matt a good musician and excellent vocalist and Wagner on the other hand a true entertainer!

In your opinion of course. Matt is as well liked as Wagner is disliked. Matt has a huge fan base and if Rebecca doesn't start swinging it a bit, he will win this by a mile.

Well, there's been a lot more stuff in the mainstream media about it this year, and obviously Katie being saved four times has led to suspicion of foul play (not suggesting that they manipulate the voting, but that they deliberately only go to deadlock when the 'right' contestant is last).

It's good for the show in the short term, because it's increased viewing figures like never before, but there's no way SCowell will be able to repeat it next year.
