According to the latest viewing figures, The X Factor peaked at 14.55m which is pretty good. I was quite shocked to see that the Xtra Factor only had 479k viewers.

Last year and earlier this year, it was about 900k to over 1m.

I agree that earlier in the year Konnie was quite boring. But I think she's really come around and has got into her stride.

What does everybody else think?

The low rating was because it clashed against I'm a Celebrity which has a similar audience to Xtra Factor's and the current series of IAC has been very popular. On the same weekend last year, Xtra Factor had 608k (2.9%), so it's not a big difference between last night and the same rating last year.

i think its the fact that they dont talk to the constestants anymore, that ruined the show for me.

i dont mind konnie that much, she is better than holly imo

holly was overly nice with her squeaky voice

doesn't surprise me, konnie is an AWFUL presenter, and the format has been completely ruined.

I preferred it when it was:
1. Quick interview with a few audience members
2. Judges Calls (in xtra factor studio, not in front of the audience)
3. Guest Interviews etc.
4. All the contestants in the xtra factor studio
5. Contestant voted off with mentor interview
6. and i loved the oddball audition contestant performance

All of this and a replacement for Konnie Huq next year would be nice

2. Judges Calls (in xtra factor studio, not in front of the audience)

Agreed, this has really bugged me in the past couple of weeks!

It's a very poor programme since they messed around with it, so no real reason to watch.

Can't watch Konnie, I feel like the human cringe every time she bounds on to the screen. Plus I hate the new format, so one less Xtra Factor viewer there lol.

Can't figure out why this is happening though, It's meant to be the publics chance to question the panel yet the audience can't help but interupt at every oppertunity just like the previous two hours on ITV1!

Then only 479k people saw the worst interview in TV history:

Konnie - "So Dermot, erm, what do you think of this whole, erm X Factor thing?"

She really said that!

IACGOOH can't account for the bad viewing figure coz if you really wanted to watch both you'd record one of them surely and that counts as viewing figures.......so format not liked or Konnie not liked or both more likely

The viewing figures are going down year on year as the x factor becomes more and more of a joke and people cant be arsed any more...

how many times have you heard people say ` i used to watch it but now i think its crap`...then they have a go at you for still watching it.....hopefully it wont be long before the x factor era comes to an end...it will become as much as a joke as the eurovision song contrest under the hosting of terry wogan
