Hi. Now Wagner has gone from the X Factor do you think Ann will go next week.

A lot of it is to do with the judges barbed comments every week to Anne and Anton they hardley ever have anything nicde to say about Anne and are always at the bottom of the board with the leadt number of points.

A lot of voters are doing it to get up the noses of the judges by voteing Anne back each week.

Maybe people are becoming fond of the old battleaxe.

I know she is a crap dancer she wont win the show but its good to see her progress further she is entertainment, most people only tune in to see Widdi.

When she leaves see the viewing figures go down.

I'd rather watch people like Ann who have a bit of personality as opposed to the dullards that were Bastian and Whittle last year. I like how Ann isn't playing up to the usual cliches that the celebs normally sprout each year about how great it all is and life changing etc - she just gets on with it to the best of her ability. I do think she does her best and does attempt basic moves for each dance. Those who say they would stop watching SCD if she won I find rather silly - get some perspective. It's not like the other five celebs remaining are of the standard of Ann which if was the case would cast a shadow over SCD's future. A final of Ann, Paul and Peter would be detrimental to the ethos of the show.

Nowt wrong with one rotton egg outlasting its welcome sometimes

Such a sense of proportion is unusual hereabouts amongst we drama queens.

No, they value something that makes them laugh on a Saturday night after a long week at work.

People asking whether Ann voters "hate the show" are missing the point. They like the show, they watch it, and they spend money on it. But they don't take it anywhere near as seriously as people on this forum do.

I think we're stuck with her til semi final week. According to reliable sources, she's only about 3rd in the public vote each week and since she'll always be last on the judge's leader board, semi final week will be the end of her. Let's all pray that it happens this way.

No more Ann threads please. I beg you to post in the existing and too numerous threads dedicated to this years buffoon I am on the verge of throwing something very heavy at a very expensive monitor.

No, for some reason some people like her. Dont know why. My only guess is perhaps these people want to kill off SCD. I really dont understand why she was invited to participate in the first place. The woman has no redeeming features, she is rude and totally unfunny.

No idea what you mean by that comment.

Are you agreeing with my post or calling me a drama queen?

Strange, I thought I had a sense of humour .must have lost it before she started "dancing"........

But why do people want to kill off strictly? Yeah I admit, the show has some things that annoy people, but it is great Saturday night entertainment.

Sid,

Look carefully at the replay of Sat night up in the Tessanine - Anton is no longer enjoying it. He really is not.

So you and a tiny proportion of a rather rich public with loads of free money to stick on their phone blls are in the minority.

SCD was great entertainment until BBC's revamp went for the overkill and put Ann in. Possibly they didn't think she would send herself up so much, but now that her idiocy has boosted the ratings, the producers DO NOT CARE about the fallen standard of what used to be a good show.

My mind boggles. From week 5 when she comes on I put her on pause. Then I forward it so I dont have to see her. I have also stopped watching the results show because she will never go. I do not read the spoilers either.

To critique the dancing and score accordingly is the judges job, It's what they get paid for. Ann's dancing isn't good enough to warrant 'nice' from a dancing (alledgedly in Aleshas case) judge.

Umm, 'a tiny population of a rather rich public' what are you on about?

Some of us like a laugh. Is that all right with you?

Sorry, that matters not a jot, he is paid to take part in the show.
The programme makers know exactly what they are doing, this is not the first series were someone not good at dancing has progressed like this, it gets people talking and voting and that's all that matters!

The fact that The Right Honourable Ann Widdecombe was chosen to appear in Strictly Come Dancing indicates that she was regarded as being able to contribute some value to the programme.

The British public has upheld this view and so long as they continue to vote in her favour she is entitled to enjoy a place until the end.

I wouldn't bet on her exitting at the semi-final.

With 388 votes now in, Ann's standing in the Favourite poll has risen to 6%, level with Gavin and Scott and improved on last week when she was joint bottom at 3.4% with Patsy. Her standing in the Least Favourite poll also improved from 53% to 48% after a prompt vote of 348.

It looks like Ann voters have tasted blood, realised their power, and more have jumped on the Annwagon. She will exit in 2 weeks only on condition her phone ranking remains at third top her current support. If this support rises then all predictions are off -- she will likely make the Final at the expense of two from Kara, Pamela, Scott.

With the opposition remaining divided Ann will continue to conquer. The chance to halt Ann with a rapid reaction force of tactical voting has come and gone. For the purpose of stopping Ann, yesterday's votes for Judges' Top Two Pamela and Kara were wasted.

Patsy was sacrificed and Gavin will be sacrificed this Saturday. By next week Ann will have picked off 9 opponents without touching second-bottom, picking off the weakest and most abandoned celeb at every stage. By 11th December the accelerating Annwagon may be too strong for tactical or any kind of voting to resist.

And if she makes the Final how many more will join the Annwagon?

And at least Ann Widecombe is a well known name to the public which was an arguement about the poor standard of last years 'celebs.'

Maybe people just want to show support to an outsider for a change (by that I refer to age) when they would usually be outshone by younger talent. I like to see it as some kind of respect towards elders in having an attempt at such a show.
