When I saw the title of this thread, my first thought was 'James who?', as I, too, switched off mentally when he came on. Well, I did the washing-up, which amounts to the same thing. So I don't know if it was an aye or a nay.

I know I'm in the minority here but Jim's alright by me. Saw him live in concert a few years ago and I'm still here alive and well to tell about it

I missed tonight's programme and am sorry to have missed him because I like him. I will watch on iplayer.
I found his performance to be a bit lack lustre and stiff.
Therefore, I give it 9 out of 10.

He can sing but he's too high pitched and too whiny for me. I couldn't sit through a concert or even an album of his songs
