The only thing that is ever going to penetrate his skull is ratings points. If people are sick of X-factor and it's manipulations....turn the damn thing off.

Agreed, just don't want people to spoil it for me just because they're mad at it.

Exactly. Don't know why Wagner fans thought the way to derail the show was by er - voting and putting money in Cowells pocket.

It won't alter the ratings in the slightest unless the people with BARB boxes stop watching. But I doubt I'll watch next year, anyway.

I never wanted to derail the show, I just enjoyed Wagners performances.

But as he's gone I will be switching off now anyway.

Exactly. Let the trudge to the lowest common denominator continue, but I won't be watching. Zzz.

Why was a vote for Wagner a protest vote. Lots of people voted for him as he was a laugh and entertaining. That's why he got the wildcard in the first place. Xfactor will now be full of rather naff wannabes who think they're the next big thing. Whinge if Wagner votes stopped leona Lewis winning or Will Young but not this lot, they're all gash!

I agree there are those who want to watch it and those who no long want to. I want to watch it and like you meg I don'[t want the programme to be spoilt because of that.

Oh I think they did too he has lots of fans and I think it was sad that others that the core fans might have actually used poor Wagner.

Totally agree. I only watched Wagner's performances last night. Haven't the ratings gone down considerably since the start of the live shows anyway???

Personally I don't want to derail the show. I just want an end to all the off stage rumours, the on stage theatrics and crazy routines. I just want to hear people singing, then judge them on who's got the best voice.

But I think the show is now considered to be more than just singing.

The show gets crazy high ratings, if all the Wagner voters stopped watching it wouldn't make a dent so it wouldn't derail anything.

Anyway I think the whole thing was more about having a laugh than genuinely derailing the show. Once a show has has got this big and made this much money it is pretty much undamageable.

All the people I liked have gone. Nicolo, then Aiden and now Wagner. Even Katie. I enjoyed watching her and seeing what she was wearing even though I didn't rate her. I have no need to watch. One Dimension are a joke, Matt bores the arse off me, Cher makes me want to turn off anyway and as much as I love Rebecca I dont reallly care what happens.

If you like the show, but don't want cowell to benefit then download it (so you're not counted as a 'viewer', and they gets no ad rev) and don't call in to vote.

That isn't how tv ratings work.

They just go on a few thousand people who happen to have the monitoring devices on their tvs.
