I'm not sure he would I'm afraid. When he was on ITT (when he and Michelle left i think it was) he went out of his way to say the opposite and I say he went out of his way because I don't think Claudia had even asked his opinion on it - it was just something he started talking about like he needed to get it off his chest. He said something along the lines that there was alot of nonsense being said about Ann and that she had earned her place on the show, the public were voting for her and there was no way she should quit.

(I have to say I disagree with him )

Actually in a sense it is the BBC's fault. They invited her on to the show when it was perfectly obvious that there was no way that she was going to be able to dance most of the dances. This, of course, assumes that the dancing matters and clearly to many people it doesn't.

If this was a very generalised dancing competition where the contestants can dance in any style they want then perhaps it would be okay for Ann to interpret her routines in her own way but it's not a general dancing competition. The whole point of Strictly is that contestants learn specific dances and Ann is making absolutely no effort whatsoever to do that.”

I wholeheartedly agree!

It's all very well for Len to say it was the 'daftest dance' he's ever seen but the Rumba is not MEANT to be daft! I don't see how he could penalise Kara for a beautiful American Smooth that didn't look like a Foxtrot but then play along with A&A's micky-taking version of a Rumba.

Gav may end up holding the record for the worst dancer to have survived to the "6 to go" stage without being comlained about for having not engineered his own departure to satisfy the dance purists.

Mind you, Kenny Logan went quite a long way didn't he? I'm sure he was complained about though, so Gav probably takes this pre 6 Nations Wales vs Scotland skirmish.

I agree with Dorabella's post. Maybe like me she has gets her "impression", not from the press (therefore no links) but from the horse's mouth, or his colleagues who are giving him flak!

As for Vincent being fine with Anton still being in, he probably is as his partner had no chance of getting to the final so it makes little difference to him. Even so, it's not in any of the pros' interest for down-talk another pro. They are not stupid, they are learning to watch what they say, which is not always what they necessarily think.

I thought I saw a bit of tension right at the end when Patsy was saying her goodbyes. Ann hugged her and Patsy didn't even make eye contact, moving away quickly to chat and hug with someone else. She was also left standing by herself at the very end.

If I was a contestant, I'd be very upset if I'd worked my arse off, only to get voted off because someone preferred to watch Ann being thrown around the floor in a humiliating weekly display. Its' insulting to the other contestants.

Others are right in that it's not her fault she's still in it, it's the answering back of the judges, her total inability to do what Anton says and her lack of trying that annoys me about her.

No. Only by moaning can I cope with the fact the BBC even let her enter, and hope they don't inflict her type again. ( I know that last remark is wishful thinking)

When Gabby went out before Kenny, he actually went to the BBC and asked if they could swap places, he was that upset. But the computer said "nah". Complaints? it was known as Gabbygate.

In his shoes, so would I. Marital harmony must take precendence over the Glitterball.

From what I read, she wanted to do SCD and he didn't really, but the Beeb leaned on him to make a "happy couple". I'm glad the Beed didn't let him pull out, as otherwise we'd have missed his Kilted Paso.

Quite right, I felt bad for Patsy. She has worked very hard and had improved week on week. I won't care if Gavin goes out before her but after that it would be ridiculous if she doesn't go. I don't blame Anne or the judges, but the show's producers. They put her in there knowing she was a tough old bird and wouldn't bow out like John Sergeant.

If I wanted to watch a show that created controversy to bump up the viewing figures i'd watch x-factor. It's called Strictly Come Dancing not Mostly Dancing with a bit of Hilarious Careering About.

My first impulse when reading pro-Anne comment is that the writer should get a life
BUT
Perhaps it is me that fails to "get it" Help me out here and explain where the entertainment is in what Anne does or does not do
If dance is circa 50% of the element to be judged and "entertainment factor" the remaining (for me 80% x 20%) please what the hell does Anne do to entertain

It's their phone bill they can choose, your reasons for voting for your personal favourite may be considered 'crap' by others.

I will moan all the time she remains...it's a travesty and shows how much the BBC has dumbed down!!!
The celebs and judges are obviously towing the party line and doing as they are told. Shame on all concerned!!

Sad? No, not really... If her participation in Strictly Come Dancing is all she's remembered for, for "entertaining the nation", and with endless photographs of her in a bright yellow outfit hopping around like Big Bird accompanying articles about her or being included, then it is what it is.

So she can't dance very well and gets constantly derided for the public having the brass neck to vote for her. The whole show is highly unfair on the less able celeb's.”

There are faults with the judges but if anything they over-mark Ann and actually their tendancy to over-mark gets worse then people vote for duffers. Ann voters are not sticking it to the judges whom are still getting paid whatever happens and I think the only one who really gets annoyed by it is Craig who is actually one of the better judges and certainly the least guilty of over-marking. The less able celebs get the pay and publicity the same as the good ones and also if it's at least partially a dancing competition shouldn't the rubbish ones be getting a harder time than the more talented if the judges aren't judging then what's the point of them or indeed the dancing at all - without the dancing element SCD just becomes Big Brother.
