Dear Claudia,

While doing your prep for this week's ITT please look through these boards and pick up some real feelings from some real viewers about the way this year's competition is going.

I do think your ITT programmes should be more neutral than they are. Your enthusiasm for Ann is unwatchable, and you waste time on some appallingly silly questions to the contestants for your VTs instead of asking people about the dancing and about their training..

As opposed to the pretend viewers?!

I think Claudia's enthusiastic about all the couples. And that's the way it should be. Don't want to see the presenter of the spin-off show playing favourites or showing clear distaste for any one couple.

But don't you realise that I need to know that all the couples are having so much fun and can't stop laughing.

How patronising, every viewer is 'real'. Some actually put their hands in their pockets and vote.

They are asked to vote for their favourites and that is exactly what they do. It's an entertainment show.

I suppose you want Claudia sacked next because you feel she is too flippant.

I do wish they would tell us how many hours people spend training.

I want that too. They did up to last year but don't now. Very odd. Maybe we can submit it as one of the questions that come out of the Glitterball on ITT

If I remember correctly, for the final weeks of the show Claudia said how many hours per week couples were doing

I hope they don't, it caused so many training injuries when they were trying to out do each other on the hours spent in training.

Not forgetting that every dance is notouriously hard/difficult.

I remember a thread on here a while ago about things you would never hear being said on Strictly - was very funny. Wish I could find it.

well people are obviously voting for Anne so whether I or the op or the purists or anyone else like that or not means very little, A lot of people voting want to hear about her
my favee are Matt and Kara but everyone to their own I guess
I also don't think the anti Anne threads help to be honest
Gavin to go next I think

They don't have to turn it into a competitive thing, It would be interesting to see, for example, how many hours Scott was able to put in when he was working so hard (and arguably being so tired those hours effectively are worth less).

That said, with both Matt and Scott having to work outside of SCD at the moment, people could easily twist it to being unfair how many hours Pamela and Kara can put into it.

As an aside, am I right in saying that Matt, Scott, Ann and Gavin have commitments outside of SCD but Pamela and Kara don't? It would be interesting to know (or for them to cover it on ITT).

People have different reasons for watching. Some for the entertainment side, others for the dancing and the professionals, some love the costumes and others still for the whole package. Two things they all have in common is that they are all asked by the BBC to vote for their favourites and the other is that their opinion is real and valid too.

No, never thought of that. Goodness gracious.

Just think the glitterball questions are a huge waste of time. If contestants make the time to get over to the studio and through makeup etc for what seems like 5 seconds chatting on the sofa, I'd prefer no glitterball questions and 10 - 15 seconds chatting.

Just shows that actually I'm very pseud and quite fake.

Strictly had 11.5m viewers on Saturday how many are REAL viewers who post on DS

In the unlikely event of Claudia reading this and using it to gauge the opinions of real viewers, this real viewer has two words of paramount importance: Yay Ann.

Don't ask pertinent questions Claudia could ask if three of the judges can actually see the dances.

The percentage must be so infinitesimal to render us as almost insignificant.

Unfortunately true. The same for ALL reality shows and their associated Fora/Threads. Indeed, the same for ALL phone-in type radio programmes. The number of people taking part are NOT representative of the overall listeners/viewers

I think what the OP means is that Claudia is making up imaginary viewers that apparently 'adore Ann'.

She's not made it to the bottom two yet, so they are hardly imaginary.

I adore Claudia and love her questions, she is hilarious.

Although I have missed hearing about how much training people are doing (except perhaps where they've managed precious few in a particular week) I'm not sure that is that informative in some ways. It cannot genuinely measure dedication, should this be gauged by whether contestants are juggling other commitments, have cleared their diaries or plain and simple had little else to do? It clearly cannot give any indication of how good a performance may or may not be, nor improvement from previous week(s)...perhaps it might be useful where a particular couple has done significantly more or less training than has been customary for them across the series? I just don't know...

She need not actually make them up - but perhaps make a bit more room for the viewers who 'adore' Kara, Scott, Pamela, Gavin. Matt's viewers are very quiet but very numerous, week by week.

Anyway, nuff said.

I'm always patronising, - I patronise every day.
I patronise the nice coffee shop that's conveniently on my way.
