1 - Matt, I think hes a good dancer, and has been good in both ballroom and latin dances. Hes nealry wowed me a couple of times, but hasent so far. Nice fellow and my favoutie.

2 - Kara - Like Matt a good dancer,, and has nearly wowed me a few times. However something is missing to me from her, but none the less my 2nd fav.

3 - Pamela - At the start was my fav along side matt, however she comes across a tad needy and desprete sometimes. Good dancer, but a bit hit and miss. Well done to James on making the final 6 thoguh.

4 - Gavin - Best of the bad bunch really. Shy, not that good of a dancer and his attitude is boring.

5 - Ann - Apart from saturday night, Im ashamed to say she made me laugh, she hasent really entertianed me. Terrible dancer, but I cant do much if people are voting for her.

6 - Scott - I cant warm to him at all, theres something I dont like about him. I find him over marked most weeks, and yeah thats pretty much it.

Kara great dancer, and quite fearless considering some of the choreography Artem has thrown at her. Last Saturday wasn't her best, but they lost couple days training because of A's injury; even so they were pretty darn good.

Matt Comes across as a genuinely nice guy & I love Matt's dancing; I don't think he's done a really bad dance the whole series to date. If he and Kara are in the final, I think he might lose out to Kara because, at the last minute, it all boils down to the showdance which is Artem's speciality.

Pamela Like Kara she is quite fearless, seems she will give anything a go. If the show was split into age groups like regular comps - i.e. Under 35 and Over 35 - she would win hands down, I don't think there has been anyone near her age in any of the series who could come anywhere near her. She could win if the public admire her spirit and determination.

Scott I don't watch soaps so never heard of him before scd; he's a bit of a rough diamond in some ways, but find something very likeable about him. Last week he not only looked tired, but ill. Maybe he needs to risk doing a weaker dancer this week by taking a few days out and catching up on some rest. He's a good dancer, has the talent, but he'll go nowhere if he ends up knocking himself out.

Gavin Bit pathetic really; acts like a spoilt 10 year old. Couldn't believe he actually said he thought they (him & Katya) did "all right" on Saturday with their jive. It was dreadful, and what does he know anyway?

Ann Like her or lump her, I think she's there at least another week or so, but really hope she doesn't make the final.

Kara- Beautiful girl and beautiful dancer probably the best female dancer we have had on Strictly. Artem is her perfect partner....fantastic coreography and seems to merge into the background so showing off Kara to perfection......the dream team.

Scott- I didnt think I would like him (too wideboy type for me normally) but I think he is very likeable. Natalie is a stunning ballroom coreographer and has brought out the best in him. Love their ballroom and loved their Jive. Slightly concerned at how ill he looks which makes me worry for him.

Pamela- Wow what a mover for 60 years old. I am so happy that James has got a partner thats taken him into the later stages of the competition. I do like them a lot but I do find her a bit annoying sometimes but I would like to see them in the final.

Gavin- I just love Gavin and Katya ....cant have them top because he isnt a good dancer in any way shape or form. However they are the most genuine honest and endearing couple this series. They make me laugh and make me smile I will be sorry to see them go but am happy to see them in the competiton as long as those above are still in it.

Ann- I have laughed some weeks but its Anton that makes me laugh enough is enough.

Matt- Cannot have him higher than this because something I read about him in a book to mark the 50th anniversary of Blue Peter changed my opinon of him completely. He is also too experienced in dance for it to be completely fair for him to compete against the likes of Gavin. Add to that Aliona's quirky coreography for a man who is conventional in looks and attitudes so NOT quirky that it just makes uncomfortable viewing.

Gavin deserves to be there on the grounds that Ann doesn't. He still makes me smile and I'll vote for him as long as he's there.
Matt deserves his place and if he wins I'll have no complaints
Kara ^^ ditto. If she wins it will be through talent and showing an almost ingenuous honesty. No playing silly games - what you see is what you get.
Scott is inconsistent so lags behind Matt and Kara in my opinion. He's also inclined to make a meal of his difficulties; his claims of overwork and tiredness might evoke some sympathy from me if he didn't milk it.
Pamela has earned her place with some good performances - but her facial expressions and luvviness drive me to distraction. The only time I would vote for her would be - God forbid - if she contested the final with Ann.
I can't argue with Ann's supporters exercising their voting rights - enough said.

What did you read about Matt?

Very hard to rate since my top three are pretty much level but I shall give it a shot.

Matt
Scott
Kara

I like all of these and think Matt has performed the best overall. He seems like a nice guy.

Scott is looking very fatigued at the moment but has had many great dances. Enjoyed his VW and his Jive.

Kara is a great dancer and has done many good routines. I like her partnership with Artem but sometimes their technically good performances don't capture my interest.

Pamela
I like James so I'd like them to do well. I could do without the over-analysis of everything (God forbid we might forget her job) but people have been excusing Ann on age grounds and Pamela is showing that an older lady can do well.

Ann
Since she has been kept in so much for very little effort I don't think she even tries any more. I think contestants should be able to talk to the judges but Ann seems to completely disrespect them every chance she gets. Don't like her attitude.

Gavin
The most baffling mix of shy & arrogant and misses a mirror more than his kids (though that could have been a failed attempt at humour). Having seen him on 71 Degrees North I don't like him at all. If he suddenly became the most amazing dancer I still wouldn't like him.

Kara - I started out supporting Scott but with his lack of energy I feel that it should be Kara winning. I think she is a great dancer and doesn't seem too full of herself.

Matt - As you might know I am not a fan of Matt but I will concede that he is a good dancer but there is just something lacking for me.

Scott - A good natural dancer but doesn't seem to have the stamina to dance and hold down a job which a lot of the previous contestants have done. I still like him.

Pamela - I think she's great and fearless. A bit ragged at times but for a 60+ year old she is doing very well.

Gavin - What a strange mixture of vanity and shyness. He should go next week if it isn't my very least favourite by a countrymile.....

Ann - What can you say? She should never have been asked onto the programme and if this is the way the show is going, it might be the last for me.

Kara - head and shoulders above the rest, most of her dances have been compulsive viewing: Charleston, QS, AS, Foxtrot, Paso, AT and Salsa. Really liked the Cha Cha and Jive, but not quite on the same level as the others.

Matt - had high hopes for him at the start but hasn't really lived up to expectations. Thought his samba and cha cha were great, but Aliona has choreographed some truly wtf moments: the AT, the AS (which I think was ruined by him wearing a Latin costume as well ) and the Charleston. I also feel like physically they're not a good match: his arms look too long for her when they're in hold somehow.

Scott - seems to be good enough in the ballroom (this weekends mishap excepted) but his Latin is not good. Thought the jive was great and he might do a decent Paso and AT though.

Pamela - liked her at the start but have rapidly went off her. She doesn't seem to be improving and she probably sticks in my mind because I thought her Charleston was one of the most overmarked dances in strictly history. She does ok at slower dances but she struggles with anything faster and the manic expressions really put me off. Also, James clearly sucks at incorporating props into the routine properly so he should be banned from using them IMO.

Gavin - Guilty pleasure. He ain't much of a dancer but sometimes you see some well-executed steps in there. Think he might have been better with a different teacher and simpler choreography - although I think Katya could teach Aliona a thing or two about composing quirky routines that actually engage the viewer.

My rating of the top 3 is meaningless as I like them all pretty much equally and wouldn't mind if any of them won.

1) Matt & Aliona - Ever since their Cha Cha I've loved watching them. Yes, Aliona's choreography isn't to everyone's taste, but she's kept within the rules and created some stunning routines. She's not to blame for the props as everyone is culpable for that this year. I think they've been consistently good, occasionally magical, and it wouldn't be a bad thing at all if they won

2) Pamela & James - Her tendency to psycho-analyse everything does annoy me a bit, but her ballroom is beautiful and she and James make a great partnership. Her Latin hasn't quite hit the peak of her salsa, but it's never been dreadful, and without the mistakes her jive could have been better. It's nice to see a more mature contestant throwing herself into it and genuinely looking like she's having the time of her life. I'm not convinced they'll win, but I'd be happy if they did.

3) Kara & Artem - Artem has really earned his spot on Strictly, his choreography has been consistently good. They've been consistently good as well, and their Paso, American Smooth and Argentine Tango are some of the best dances of the series. It took me a while to warm to both of them, but they're a great partnership and they would definitely deserve to win.

4) Scott & Natalie - I haven't warmed to him at all. Yes, his ballroom is good, but it lacks that something extra that makes it exciting. And I think his Latin is wildly over-rated, I seem to be among the very few who thought his jive was just average! I like Natalie a lot, she's a lovely person and a great choreographer, but I don't feel that there's a strong partnership between her and Scott.

5) Gavin & Katya - His waltz was lovely, and I thought Katya had managed to work miracles, but no. Nothing since then has been great at all, and I really disliked his severely over-marked 'quickstep'. I feel uncomfortable watching interviews with them, they always seem to me to be so forced, but at least he is trying. Katya seemed much more at ease with Phil last year, and it's a pity she didn't get partnered with someone who could bring out her personality more.

<this space is necessary to show the gulf in class and in my levels of respect>

6) Ann (& Anton, it's not fair that he has to be classed with her when he's making the most of such a terrible draw) - just awful. If she tried, I might attempt to see if there's any merit to her 'dancing' at all, but anyone who refuses to learn the basic steps of a dance just because she decides not to like them gets a big fat 0 in my book - it's just insulting, not only to all the other contestants who are actually working hard, but to anyone who's trying hard to learn to dance. She's ruined the series - it would probably have been quite dull without all the controversy she generates, but at least the format wouldn't have been made a mockery of.

Kara & Artem -- I love her elagance & technicality.
I think she is the best female dancer ever on SCD.

Scott & Natalie -- I like him & I love his partnership with Natalie.

Gavin & Kayta -- I find him very funny.

Pamela & James -- She is good & James seems to be coping with her OTT personality

Matt & Aliona -- I admit he is talented but I think he has been let down by Aliona & that we haven't seen what he is really capable of,

Ann & Anton -- I've laughed at the pair of them but now i'm sick of them both.

Kara and Artem are my faves and have absoutely wowed me with some of their dances - real goosebump moments. I'd love them to win and would really like Artem to be invited back again next series.

Scott and Natalie have performed some outstanding ballroom dances (no goosebumpy ones for me though) and their jive was excellent but I've preferred more of K & A's than theirs across the 2 disciplines which is why he's 2nd for me.

Matt and Aliona have had their moments - both good and bad. Mainly down to Aliona's choreography I think. These 3 would be my ideal last 3 though.

There's something about Pamela that sets my teeth on edge - she's the SCD equivalent of nails down a blackboard for me. Chuffed that James has managed to get so far but Pammie can leave in the semis for me.

Gavin and Katya - I can't get my head around Gavin. I don't know whether it's his sense of humour that I don't get or whether he's just too vain for my liking but I won't be sad to see them leave on Sunday.

Ann and Anton - TAXI!!!!!

3/ Matt; Talented dancer, and seems like a really nice guy, if a little head boy like in his attitude sometimes. He's probably been the most consistent of them all and is technically very good. Think his partnership with Aliona is a slight mismatch, personality and looks wise but it's still been pretty successful. He's probably been better than Scott overall but I just don't find him exciting to watch therefore marked Scott higher.

2/ Scott; Another one with natural talent and again seems like a genuinely nice guy. When he's good he's fabulous to watch, the problem is you don't know when he's going to be good, he's been a bit inconstant. I like his partnership with Natalie, and they look good together. I made him 2nd over Matts 3rd as I'd rather watch him dance.

4/ Pamela; Talented, and charismatic performer which lets people ignore some of of her less than technical brilliance. Seems like she's genuinely having the time of her life when interviewed, which is nice, even if her enthusiasm does get a little luvvie- like much at times. I like her partnership with James and think that they obviously have a very genuine rapport. I do wish that they would vary the choreography and attitude form cheeky sauciness to something else now and then though.

1/ Kara; The one I love watching dance the most. She's naturally talented but she's has also been lucky in getting Artem as her dance professional as his choreography has showcased her well and they have a natural chemistry. They also look hot together which does them no harm at all. I'd love to see her win or at least make the final because would be so disappointed if we missed some of her dances in favour of the others.

5/ Gavin: He's obviously worked hard and seems nice lad, if a little tactless at times. Don't really enjoy watching him dance because he's not really a dancer and TBH I think that if he didn't look as fit as he does he would have left some weeks ago. There's no spark at all between him and Katya which would have helped, I think that she's fond of him a bit like you would be with be an overgrown puppy.

6/ Ann: Can't dance, and even with months of professional one to one training hasn't even bothered to try. Has been funny occasionally, although that's a lot of credit to Anton. She's done what the BBC wanted and given the show lots of publicity and headlines however I've seen everything that she's got now and would like her to leave. She won't though because she has started to believe the hype and really thinks that she's providing entertainment. The producers have created a real problem for themselves with her, but without accusing them of vote manipulation I don't believe that they'd let her win.

Apologies, I forgot to put the ranking in and now obviously they are not in order, but hopefully you understand my post.

Matt - I love Matt, I think Aliona has been brave with her choreography. He is my fave and has been since week 1.

Pamela - I love these too as well. James is my fave male pro and Pamela is amazing for 60 (she's 61 next Saturday)

Kara - I could see from the beginning that she was brilliant but it was always missing something for me until about 3 weeks ago.

Those 3 by rightly should be finalists.

Scott - I really like Scott and Natalie's partnership and I'm gutted that he seems to have run out of steam, The last 3 of 4 weeks have been poor.

Gavin - I don't like his arrogance and he's steadily gone downhill. However, I do like the fact that Katya so supportive. Really I'd rather he'd stay in over............

Ann - can't bear the woman, not funny, not entertaining and not even trying anymore. I really think she thinks that she doesn't have to bother and she'll still go through.

love Matt, Scott & kara, by far the best dancers, Pams good and gives it a good go, Gavins a spoilt ego with the personality of a plank of wood.

Ann makes me laff, actually its more the show anton puts on, but she can stay till gavins out, but i would prefer a Matt, Scott, Kara, Pam semi with either a Matt or Scott win, as much as ive enjoyed Ann & Antons antics i dont want her anywhere near the finals.

Kara - love her and Artemis together. No matter what he throws at her she'll give it a go. And she is a good dancer with more training she could be a pro. Hope she makes the final.

Gavin - he's actually my favourite but I couldn't put him above kara because he lacks dancing ability. I wish katya would drop all the silly props and padding and just go back to basics with him. He looked like he was dressed for Lindy hop rather than jive. You could see actual dance steps in his routines

Pamela - liked her a lot more at the beginning not so much now. Still she is willing to give it a go and can dance - she won't win though.

Scott/Matt - not fussed which of these is ahead of each other. Matt is one of those people who is good at everything he turns his hand to - he doesn't do anything for me (dance wise) but I do feel sorry for him sometimes -the judges are very critical when he appears to have done nothing wrong.
Scott - sat night took the biscuit with the scoring - obviously their favourite (not his fault) but he is starting to whinge and apparently so is his wife so can't be doing with that.

Kara - elegant, clean and saucy/sexy without trying hard or being tacky. Best celeb dancer and Artem is a superb dancer and choreographer who lets her shine. They set high standards for themselves and I respect their honesty. Okay, I utterly *heart* them...

Scott - nudged Matt out place with his jive. When he's on form he's brilliant to watch. Natalie's choreography is good and compliments him most of the time.

Matt - if I slightly blur my vision I like his dances more. Often I feel uncomfortable as his facial expressions look strained and his hands can be inelegant. Aliona's choreograph doesn't bring out the best of him, imo.

Pamela - a tie with Matt is I'm honest. She's not a person I can warm to but I have to give credit to her chutzpah. I think her and Jame's forced hilarity put me off them to being with as well (and her costumes have been horrible).

Gav - I didn't think I'd like him at all and I think he's an alright guy. I'm shocked he's so shy. He's not a dancer though and I his muscles don't charm me. I'm not sure Katya's choreography have helped him either.

Kara - is she on the show? Oh yes the one with the grating mouth otherwise nondescript.

Pamela - reminds me of Hercules in Steptoe and Son. Judges pet and will stay in till the judges don't get a vote.

Scott - what can one say - started well but vanishing fast. Now we know why they needed the door so he could have a rest between steps.

Ann - A true performer in classic "Compo" on "last of the Summer Wine". This lady is definitely not for turning in more ways than one

Matt - Consistently good whatever he does but a bit bland.

Gavin - A Kate Garroway without the intelligence. Some ladies swoon when they see his body the more discerning walk quickly away.

You'd better hope Aliona doesn't read that, or she may well incorporate it into their next routine.

By the way, Jan is a long time poster on these boards and always seems to me to be a very fair person, so I'm sure she feels she has sound reasons for her opinions

Matt - very good dancer and seems like a nice man
Kara - probably the most naturally talented of the group
Scott- also very good but slightly behind Matt & Kara. Think he looks not just tired but ill
Gavin - like how he takes the p... out of himself but don't think most people realise he's doing it. Despite lack of ability he is trying (probably is like most people would be in the real world)
Anne - dislike her intensely
Pamela - also dislike her intensely (think Billy must be lacking somewhat in the bedroom department because she appears to be on heat all the time)

Gavin - most refreshing personality and far by the most genuinely amusing VTs. He has the least experience of any of the remaining dancers and has had a lot to learn. Half of me wants to keep him in to help his confidence, half would prefer to see him working his magic on a rugby pitch. The judges appear to be marking him a lot more harshly than the other contestants.

Kara - I still can't take to her, her whiny voice goes straight through me and she reminds me too much of Martine McCutcheon. She's a great dancer though, Artem has choreographed a lot of routines to show her strengths. I like him.

Matt/Smug Farmer - I'm convinced that Aliona wasn't the best partner for him, her choreography appears less than fluid and I think with his natural talent and experience, he should be regularly scoring tens. Another person I want to like but can't.

Scott/Norman Deadnan - Has the Full House and more on Strictly Journey Bingo. He's a good dancer but I think he struck gold by getting Natalie as a partner. I'm still not convinced he's that good, plus his impressions just wind me up.

Pamela - awful, her rictous grin during any ballroom makes me want to puke. She is rarely light-of-foot to my eyes. However her spirit is indomitable and I admire how she throws herself into anything, compared to...

Ann/BoD - I ff or mute her. She's mocking the hard work of those left in the competition and the whole spirit of dancing. Her stance against anything she thinks is sexy is absolutely insane; she must have some seriously unhealthy mental issues. I try to ignore her.
MsVonDarkness

Kara - I love watching her and Artem together, Artem produces amazing choreography which allows Kara to shine. They are just superb to watch.

Matt - I thought I would love Matt but for some reason I just don't I like him on Countryfile and The One Show and I was a child when he was on Blue Peter and enjoyed him on there so I have no idea why I am not loving him on SCD - He is an awesome dancer but I am not loving him!

Pamela - I was amazed with how awesome Pam was at the start of the series but she is starting to get on my nerves. She pulls such awful faces when she is dancing and it really puts me off. If he cut out the pulling of faces and playing up to the cougar stereotype I would enjoy her so much more.

Gavin - He is hilarious, I thought I would dislike him but he has grown on me and I enjoy watching him and Katya dance as well as really enjoying them on ITT but he is a pretty pants dancer.

Scott - Annoys me. Him and Natalie have done some awesome dances, their jive for me was just superb!! But I don't like the inconsistency with him and I am sick of hearing how tired he is. He knew how much time SCD would take and he damn well should know how long the hours on EE are so he needs to quit the moaning.

Ann - Awful.

Matt: have always liked the guy, think he is a lovely dancer, disappointed none of his dances have wowed me, am blaming the choreography

Kara: liking her personality, think she is a super-duper dancer, not always sure about Artem's choreo either, and how on earth do make up manage to make her look less pretty than she actually is

Scott: lovely dancer (when he's not being flakey) but gets right up my nose as a person. False modesty. Whinger.

Gavin: terrible dancer, but I think he's a comic genius. Like him.

Pamela: in awe of 61-year-old woman dancing like that (I know, I know, but I am!), wish she wouldn't simper.

Ann: gritting my teeth and bearing her if she makes the show popular and ensures its longevity. Hackles are rising, however.

Kara - genuinely sweet girl, very talented and a fabulous dancer. Tries extremely hard and is improving so much. Love how sincere she is too.

Gavin - I can't help but love him. He is so obviously trying his hardest and is very sweet. I love how he speaks his mind as well.

Pamela - Maybe I am biased because I love James but she is a very good dancer and is improving week on week.

Scott - He has peaked. His performance on Saturday was shocking.

Matt - I can't warm to him. I think he seems very full of himself. I can't deny that he is a good dancer though.

Ann - really...do i need to explain it?
