Unless he read some forum threads where viewers apparently did extrapolate from a few seconds of VT that Aliona is a terrible teacher who has no respect for him and that they obviously hate each other...
Well you're always going to get that. I've read threads and posts where Scott is described as constantly moaning and making excuses, or that Kara is playing on a showmance, Gavin uses his kids in his VTs for sympathy..and on and on..Most of it derived from thier VTs.

I doubt if Matt (or any of them) is that bothered about whats' written on forums, but he clearly was a bit bothered about what was going out on TV.

As I said, I just think that Matt is overeacting a bit, that's all.

But why show that footage ? Just shows the lady lacks manners.
Typical of Strictly to show something on ITT from the rehearsal videos to shock the viewers. I was uncomfortable watching that and I think swearing is awful, especially in a teacher pupil situation when someone is trying to learn something. All it does is intimidate the pupil. Obviously the so-called professional is not in control of his/her emotions. I remember when the cricketer was on the show Ramp something or other and he was in the rehearsal rooms with Karen and he told her to F.word off!!!! I was very shocked by that remark I can tell you as at the time ITT were selling him as a happy family shy unsure of himself man!!! (THEN it came out about his six year affair and he has since divorced his wife). .

I think Matt is right to mention it. I think the show edits the videos in a way to make the whole thing more controversal, sensational and in some cases a bit shocking!! All to gain more publicity and viewers sometime at the contestants expense. Not right if it is not a true reflection of their relationship.

Regarding Scott and overwork.!!!!

Surely, if a Soap know one of their stars is entering a competition like Strictly they should re-schedule their work load. It seems unfair for someone like Scott to have to work 12 hour days on East Enders and then rehearse for the Strictly show. He cannot perform at the level required. Surely the soap knows it will get a lot of publicity when one of their stars appears on the Strictly programme and should work together to give their actor a chance of success. I doubt if these decisions are made quickly. Surely the soap had months to reorganise the filming schedule.

Regarding Matt , I doubt if the BBC could have possibly known that Jonathan whatever his name was would behave in such ridiculous way and be sacked from the One Show. Obviously Matt has his hands full with TWO presenting jobs and Strictly but that could not have been avoided, by the looks of things. Personally I think Matt will win Strictly this year!!

Nice would be saying they were over it, not implying that it was a manipulative VT. He came off as sneaky to me. But that doesn't mean I think he's evil or anything lol. I just think he's a lot more media savvy than people here believe. Just like Chris Hollins.
At least he`s not playing the cheeky chappie card that CH played and he`s a far better dancer.

There are professionals who don't swear? Really? Didn't know that.

I don't really think that the VT was that bad at all and that's why I was a bit suspicious when he referred back to it. He should have just left it, as I said earlier, it was almost like he was protesting too much.
If you're given the platform to speak out as the celebs are on ITT, then I don't think there's anything wrong with doing your best to set the record straight.

All Matt did was say he was disappointed about that moment being shown because it wasn't a true reflection of their relationship, in about 5 seconds of a 4-minute interview. He hardly had a big 4-minute rant, or went to the papers in a deliberate attempt to refute it.

Kara's come in for some criticism because she tweeted about the headline on Artem's interview in the Star, but again, she's got the platform, why not use it?
