Neither.
Everyone has their own opinions and judgements.
If I enjoy something then either having the judges and or public agree or disagree adds to my enjoyment.
All I want from SCD is to be entertained.

It is at least very rare for a judge to use a mark that couldn't be justified as a legitimate relative mark, even if popular opinion in a forum disagrees with the mark.

It is also, imo, libel to accuse judges of giving marks (that they don't genuinely believe in) as a way to protect a "favourite".

The use of a forum to post libellous accusations bothers me more than the alleged over-marking.”

Apart of course from Alesha who openly admits that she overmarks the people she feels sorry for.

Judges deserve face/dinner more definitely. They get paid obscene amounts of money, they should do their bloody job properly and take it seriously.

Another curious thing is that it's high marks -- 9s and especially 10s -- that bring out the accusations of over-marking, but it makes no difference at all re who stays whether the judges use the top marks or ones lower down. All that matters is the differences among each judge's marks.

(If a judge gives every couple a 9, for example, or every couple a 3, that judge makes no difference to the end result. (It should be obvious that the final order doesn't change if a 9 is added to every couple's score.) If the judge gives every couple but one a 3 and one couple a 4, that helps the couple to exactly the same extent as if the judge had used 9s and a 10 instead, or 6s and a 7. And so on. It's only the differences among each judge's own marks that can make a difference to who stays or goes.)

One solution for Mark Thompson of the bbc to step down as director-general so he doesn't have to dictate to Mark Linsey and Moira Ross how to do their jobs. Thus making the competition fairer and more democratic.

Hmm. Tonight on ITT she said she gave someone a high mark because she thought Craig would give a low one; and I think Bruno said something like that once as well.

But that's still not what the judges are often accused of doing: marking in order to protect "favourites".

Unfortunately, I have no idea what that means.

That was after she said it was the ones she felt sorry for. Which implies the ones she likes the best. After all, she didn't feel very sorry for Craig Kelly last year.

the judges as I would like them to be fair to everyone and this means marking 1 to 10 accordingly

though what has annoyed me most of all this sereis is unfair promotion of one contestant who refuses to contenence the fact that she needs to dance in a dancing competion And no Ann you are not hilarious

Judges overmarking. Their attempts to rig the leaderboard to get rid of threats to their favoured ones.

I so agreeand do not get voting Ann in. She is useless and despite a facebook campaign Wagner has gone from the X Factor but she remains. Why!!!! Who are the voting public trying to annoy, those who actually try to dance. I will never get the public, Yes have favourites but judge their dancing or not where Ann is concerned

Moira Ross has to go

And I would show Bruce the door- who is becoming increasingly desperate to please everyone. Tess can go too

Which means bring in Terry Wogan and give Alesha Tess's gig

New judging panel

Keep Craig and Len - but bring in Karen and Camilla. Bin Bruno - his favouritism is embarrassing

So which one of the above makes you want to throw your supper at the TV more?”

I think it's the BBC's fault for signing up deliberately hopeless contestants. If it cannot be predicted who will be hopeless (am thinking of some ladies from the past), then at least put in people who have all passed a gym fitness test and have moderately well balanced silhouettes;

Now Barbara Windsor has gone public saying she's like a go next year. Well, silhouette is fine, work ethic is fine (she's one of the old school - making those Carry Ons was no lush picnic), she is fit and would probably pick up all the steps just fine.

Contestants like our Barbara - yes,
like pathetic ex-politicians - no!!!

actually that sn't fair to the top heavy , Anns problems are compounded by her overlarge bossoom , but Ltetia Dean was also top heay and managed to dance very well towards the end I dont think you should say only proportional people can dance

Hasn'Beverley Callard said that she loves strictly- and I think Deena Payne (Emmerdale) was quoted as saying it is the only reality show she would do.

Beverly is now on Loose Women and is 5ft 7, Deena has just left Emmerdale as has Amanda Donohoe

Didn't Karen say that if a judge was seen to be giving strange marks then the head judge has to discuss his marking with him

He can't take it, simple as that.

One thing I will say about Craig - he looks genuinally happy for whoever wins it. Maybe he takes the view that whoever wins is the public choice and that is what counts
