That is a fair opinion but it seems masses do not agree....

I think the majority of slebs already know all that and will sign up anyway, for some it will give them the highest profile they've ever had and for others it will re-invent them, but one thing's for sure, if opening the fridge door is the best that their career is offering them at the moment, they won't hesitate; money for old rope I would say; weeks and weeks of beauticians, dress makers and a one to one personal trainer, where can I sign up !

Of course you'll only be paid for as long as you're in the show - so you could find your diary empty after no more than a few weeks work whilst the joker in the pack coins it in.

No?

You sure about that?

The egotistical ones will assume that they'll win against anyone. The sensible ones will know that winning doesn't matter. What really matters in career terms is coming across as likable, a trier and a good sport. Apart from Alesha, who is a special case as the show went on to employ her, I still think that the people who've done the most in career terms from being on Strictly are Aled Jones and James Martin, neither of whom even made the final (and you could argue despite Aled being 'humiliated' by being beaten by less good dancer Julian). I'm sure other people would pick different celebs, but I'd be surprised if anyone can say that the winners have benefitted noticably more than the runners up. This year I bet Patsy will come out of it as well as anyone, even though she's already gone.

Or, you could not do it and not be paid anything at all and pass up on the exposure that even being first out can bring you.

Who would refuse £10,000 for a weeks work?
