Alesha said Matt's dance was Manic and Erratic
Alesha said Matt's dance was "Manic" and "Erratic" (and gave Scott extra points because she wanted to counter Craig's score, arghhhhh)
(on ITT tonight) I just don't get the manic and erratic dance thing. Do you? It was the most beautiful flowing dance. Their costume choice and song was amazing and I actually loved how he showed such emotion on this face. |

No, I agree with Alesha here. He looked like he was running over hot coals at points in the dance. It was very chaotic and manic. It was the strangest dance I've ever seen on Strictly.

She's psycho. Scott was worse.
I thought his dance was a 6. |

No, I thought it was a bit manic and erratic. Had some cool lifts though.
Doesn't justify a lower score than Scott's mind. |

The song is an over-rated dirge. The outfits? Craig had it spot on in Jared's behind the scenes bit - he looked like an 80s drag queen. They did some bits very well and very nicely, but there were sections with him running around her with very fast, very small steps which just made me laugh. Shame, he could have done a fabulous AS in a more traditional style.

Do you think Len knocked a mark off because Matt didn't wear tails to do the AS- which strictly speaking he should as it is a ballroom dance and not as latin

As much as I like Alesha don't actually think she should be on the judges panel. Len I'm not too bothered about, they do seem to have relaxed the AS dress code, somewhat as Matt and Gavin appear to have worn considerably less than what you would normally see them in.
![]() And it is even worse in latin Time to ban trousers for the ladies when dancing |

It is not just the blokes they have relaxed the code for - allowing the women to wear trousers in ballroom is wrong. It doesn't reflect the romantic feel of ballroom

If I was ever to become elligible for the show - the first thing I would ask of the producers and staff is that I have a dress for each dance- and make it clear I wont wear trousers. I don't wear trousers at all. I am a skirts and dresses person and I am not prepared to change that

Maybe not manic (I disagree with Alesha to say the least) but when he's 'running round in circles' supporting Aliona it looked very, very ungainly.
I agree with this......for me it was the running around steps that looked really odd. Obviously not worse than Scott but Matt was above Scott on the leaderboard and wasnt eliminated so no harm done then. |

Obviously not worse than Scott but Matt was above Scott on the leaderboard and wasnt eliminated so no harm done then. Mind Scott's was worse, and was quite rightly below Matt's and Kara's was better. We could start arguing about Pam, and whether she deserved to be on top. The four of them seemed pretty close with Scott being the worst. |

I didn't like the dance, it was too contemporary for me, I also don't think the costumes helped.
Saying all that the judges scoring was ridiculous compared to the error ridden performances by Kara and Scott. Maybe they should bring in a two tier scoring system, one for technical and one for performance? |

Matt's dance was erratic, but Scott's was truly chaotic!

How to improve ITT last night? Have Claudia gagged and restrained for 2 minutes while CRH explains just how close, how often, Scott came to committing actual bodily harm to Natalie's shins and feet, instead of just a 2 second clip followed by Claud dismissing the footwork.

I loved Matt and Aliona's dance. The costumes, the music, everything about it, as did many, many others from talking to people and from what I read. In my house we were all blown away by it, and then stunned by the horrible, dampening effect of the judges comments and marks. Couldn't understand it at all. I think they're right to go with the attitude of let's just do what the viewers like and not worry about the judges. |
