There's something I find hard to comprehend, what did Kara see in Joe Swash They seem so 'unsuited'.

I have no idea what anyone see in Joe Swash. He comes across as an odious little plonker. I can only conclude that the voting public on I'm a Celeb that year was permanently plastered.

I think there are 'inaccuracies' (to put it kindly) in that report. It mentions that Artem has been signed up as a choreographer for the next series of So You Think You Can Dance, but also says he has signed up for a second series of Strictly. I very much doubt that second statement is true, since the producers won't even know if the series will be re-commissioned yet, let alone have started signing up pro dancers or even presenters.

And 'Kara is spending all her time with Artem', is she? Well, not terribly surprising if they're rehearsing for the show, is it? I have no idea if this is a romance, showmance or just wishful thinking on the part of the media, but given that this is the Daily Star, I don't give the story a lot of credence.

Perhaps if both Kara and Artem stopped giving interviews then neither of them could be misquoted or have lies made up about them!

Because "hiding from all media" is clearly a good strategy for winning Strictly?

You have a valid point, and I happen to think that Kara is, somewhat understandably perhaps, overreacting a bit. However, I wonder if any of them are restricted in what media they can and can't do.

I feel like I can't pick up a newspaper without seeing something from Ann. She even 'took over' editing the Suns showbiz section the other day (!), and she seems like she's been on a quite a few TV shows as well. Oh and not forgetting of course her weekly Strictly column online and in the Radio Times. Ann is the publicity queen at the moment.

It's a bit irritating but I suppose that the BBC know she's good for publicity so we've got to put up with it. So long as we don't get any romance with Anton hints , I am fine with it.

What a stupid non-interview! Sub-editors write the headlines and, I swear, without actually reading the bloody article! Artem was asked if he was in love with Kara, to which he replied, 'as a friend'. From which they get the headline. What nonsense.

The chemistry is obvious and it seems something is going on, but they look desperate to hide it, for now.

These interviews in such magazines/tabloids are all the same. I take them with a bucket of salt!

It's been like this pretty much always.

Always remember reading a book by Nancy Spungen's mother after her death (if you don't know, think Kate Moss/Pete Docherty of the 70s with a much more tragic outcome), one British newspaper phoned her up for a comment during the height of her and Sid Vicious's 'fame' and her reply, when asked to comment on her daughter's behaviour, was 'I don't care to comment' - what did the newspaper use as it's headline - Nancy's Mum Doesn't Care.

i personally don't believe a single word that so called newspaper prints.when they use the phrase "a source said",that is just code for "we have fabricated this from beginning to end".

They obviously like each other, but whatever else is up to them and if they don't want to flaunt it all in public or use it to get votes, that's fine by me.

I have only ever heard Kara and Artem being cautious and always saying they'll wait and see what happens after Strictly. The media can't resist creating something out of not a lot and creating headlines that are misleading.

Personally, I'm living in the Kara and Artem fantasy-bubble and love the fairytale of them being together and playing with that idea in my mind. But in Real Life I respect that they dance like a dream regardless of what's really going on with them - that's why I love them - and if they only remain good friends well, that's their business.

I sometimes think that the only thing that you can take 100% as fact is the date at the top of the paper.....

They're starting to remind me of Ali and Brian.

Ali and Brian tried to play down their blossoming relationship, but Brucie kept getting digs in at them every time he introduced them on the show, you could see them both cringing!

Thanks - I never knew that! Well, I knew about Sid and Nancy, of course, but not about the headline. I am not famous - nothing like - but have twice been wrongly quoted in the press. They don't even have to get it wrong - innuendo and general 'feel' to a piece can give entirely the wrong impression.

Oh well, at least it's a reminder to me NOT to read these rags!

Noone, you make a very good point - neither Kara nor Artem is in a relationship, so what would be the big deal if they did get together? And if it is like Ali and Brian, I hope it has a happier ending!

nooooo - I cannot ever see Artem sat at Alis feet as I remember Brian doing saying how beautiful she is. That's just so not Artem's way I would think

personally I couoldn't give a monkey's if they're knocking boots, it doesn't make their partnership anymore or less interesting to me
