LCN36 is extending its hours to start at 5am from tomorrow. It is possibly a temporary arrangement until Christmas. The new 5am-8am slot is currently vacant.

Heard on air and confirmed on Freeview EPG.

Create & Craft is a 24/7 channel on satellite but is only live from 8am-1am IIRC.

I think this means that Arqiva has completely filled Mux D / Arq B with no spare capacity available.

Mux C has a possible eighth stream available subject to $ky reducing its bitrates and two more streams are available on Arq A.

This one escaped me yesterday.

Create & Craft is changing hours and multiplexes from 12/4/11. It will be on 6am-6pm keeping the same LCN36.

I guess the most likely capacity is Big Deal but it could go anywhere including TUTV capacity, post DSO Arqiva only and even BBC / Arqiva joint capacity.

If they hadn't said that they were changing frequency I would have guessed expansion where they are now, ie kjcking off TV News and Rocks & Co.

I fail to see what channel would want rubbish hours of 8am-1pm and require all the secrecy that has occurred with channel 45.

However this could be the start of clearing that stream to give channel 45 space to start.

We are getting a clearer picture of Big Deal's plans for its stream...

0600-1800 Create & Craft (LCN 36)
1800-2000 T-View (LCN 32)
2000-0300 Psychic TV (LCN 32)
0300-0600 JCM Direct (LCN 32)

T-View needs LCN 32 to be a MHEG screen at times to explain how to use the service (like TXV has). The Create & Craft hours will provide this when the video stream moves to LCN 36.

I'm guessing it's on the BBC/ArqA matched slot, and that's why Auntie's got 301 off Mux B in a hurry.

Not near a TV at the moment, but pretty sure earlier on that the LCN32 EPG for Tuesday onward had Psychic TV on in the day and Gems TV in the evening. But then again, EPGs can be wrong and changed as and when needed.

There are some changes tonight. Psychic TV ends at midnight followed by 3 hours of Gems TV. I suspect that the Big Deal EPG will indeed be changed on Tuesday morning.

Yes it's very educational for a shopping channel. True high quality tv.

First time I've seen the words "shopping channel" and "high quality TV" in the same post

If the current Freeview EPG for LCN32 Big Deal remains in place on Tuesday, there won't be any room for an extended 6am-6pm Create & Craft or even Rocks & Co! The LCN32 EPG has changed and is currently:-

0300-0900 Teleshopping
0900-1800 Psychic TV
1800-0300 Gems TV

The Create & Craft press release said some viewers MIGHT need to retune. Could this mean that Rocks & Co gets relocated and TV News gets bumped off again? If so, no retune would be required to retain Create & Craft. Rocks & Co would need to find a new home or close.

what I want to know is how come The Big Deal went from being a 1 hour teleshopping channel, to having 24 hours, did it win it in a raffle?

No they won it on a quiz show called Big Deal.

Is this teleshopping JML Direct, or just generic teleshopping?

The teleshopping is nothing to do with JML Direct. Its a new company that has popped up called JCM Direct.

Oops, sorry for that typo, I did know that - I'm not the first to make it :P

So my question still stands - is the "Teleshopping" given by Ray Cathode really JCM Direct? Or has that now disappeared and just been replaced with generic teleshopping?
