Claudia on Saturday night
and I quote from Miss Jones:
http://whymissjones.blogspot.com/201...and-other.html "Claudia interviewing a mumbling Gavin and then admitting she didn't understand a word he said is one of my favourite things I have ever seen on Strictly Comes Dancing." lol I agree

I guess it was kind of funny but I understood him perfectly so...

My OH is accustomed to treating people who don't speak clearly in just the same way. It's very bad manners not to speak clearly in a formal situation. Poor form. Frightfully poor.

I love Claudia. I know she overplays the ditsy persona, but you do get the feeling that she's improvising a lot of the time, so it gives her a spontaneity that Tess, for example, totally lacks. I must admit I laughed like a drain when she said that to Gavin, although I suspect Gavin's fans were not in the least amused.

I thought she was quite rude, and showed a distinct lack of manners towards Gavin

I like Gavin, but I was in stitches when she said that. I love how she just says whatever seems to come to mind. It would be hard to take offence to anything Claudia says - there's never any malice behind it.

She seems to have become somewhat edgier this time around. Quite cutting on ITT on occasion, for example to a dancing coach couple and also about the machine Ian Waite used.
I don't mind so far. |

It's amazing that the fans of goofy Winkler will excuse her rudeness at any time, but let a word be said against her and they squint their eyes in fury.

Claudia didn't do anything malicious. I'm Welsh. Gavin had relaxed and he slipped into speaking quickly and with a stronger Welsh accent. It can, be difficult to follow. It's not 'bad form'. Accents are allowed. I hope.
