May I be forgiven for forgetting that I was gutted when Brian Fortuna was dropped. I didn't like him so much in his first series, but I loved him last year.

I think it was his decision to go, and to be honest until you posted that I'd forgotten about him.

I like Artem, Robin is a bit meh, Jared was a waste of a place, I said at the time Tina should've been partnered with Darren Bennett.

Would like to see Ian and Matthew back, hopefully replacing Anton and Brendan.

I'd like to see the back of James and Vincent but that ship has sailed.

Also I'd like to see the back of Natalie and Katya, bring back Lillia and Nicole please.

I'll give Artem a big tick.

Not sure about Robin and Jared...don't much mind if they don't return next year really.

Artem is the only one I would definitely want back. Robin seems nice but I haven't been blown away by his choreography and wouldn't be gutted if they dropped him. Jared I hope never comes back. Sweet, yes but not good enough as a teacher or a dancer.
That saves me writing a post, I agree entirely

I'll just add that I think Natalie, Katya and Aliona have all more than earned another return next series, and they're not new pros anyway!

Of the pros who were dropped I'd only bring back Matt and Ian.

I know I'm alone on this but Artem is my least favourite of the three. I can't warm to him, he seems a bit "above" it all.

I wish he'd gotten a different partner and Kara had been paired with an old timer.

Totally agree about the new pros - I hope Artem stays with Ian, Matthew, Darren and Lilia returning even if that means 16 couples or Anton leaving even though I don't want Erin to leave.

Darren should have been with Tina this year instead of Jared.

I would love to see Ian Waite back but fear that the producers will never backtrack over their many mistakes. I miss his elegant dancing, camp humour and the way he engaged with his partners. I too cannot understand the fuss over Artem. He just reminds me of a cheesy stripper at a particularly naff hen party that you have failed to avoid attending.

I wouldn't mind if Aliona, Artem, Robin and Jared went. For some reason I keep thinking that Jared is called 'Eddie'. That's as much of an impression as he's made on me.

I really love Artem and his brilliant choreography

Not sure yet about Robin and not bothered if Jared was to leave. I do miss Mathew and would like him back!

I love Artem and I'd be happy for Robin to stay.

To me Jared though nice, looks and seems too.. cheesy for want of better term. There's something about some US dancers which doesn't travel well - for me anyway, and he's one of them.

Also he looks incredibly young. I wonder of he was brought in specifically for Tina O'Brien who also could pass for sixteen.

I got the impression that the producers intentionally tried to broaden the cast of pros, and that getting a wide range of ages is part of that.

I think Artem and Robin have both done a great job this year, imo we could have done without Anton and Jared and kept Ian and Darren .I would have given Nellie to James I like Natalie, not fussed about Katya or Aliona and I really don't like Kristina .

Bringing new blood into the pros is a very good idea.

On an earlier series of DWTS they had a mini-competition, held within the main program.

Half-a-dozen prospective new pros all danced against each other, and the public voted for the new pro that they liked best, who would then join the next series.

I think Robin and Artem have both done a great job with what they've had to work with, and they've definitely earned their place for next series as far as I'm concerned.

I'd love to have Ian and Darren back, because their choreography could always be relied on to deliver something a bit interesting with a proper narrative. It was brilliant when Matthew came back in Hallowe'en week for the pro dance but I can't say I'd be that fussed about having him back to dance full-time.

All the girls are doing a pretty good job at present, but I'm sad that we won't see Lilia again, for the same reasons as Ian and Darren.

I think ultimately that idea didn't work though. The pro who won lasted for one series, and didn't prove particularly popular when put in amongst an already established cast of pros. I do think from what I've seen the US fans are more psychotically loyal to their favourite pros than we are over here for the most part though, so maybe it'd work better here. Certainly we need something of actual content to pad out the Results Show.

There's a new series coming up on the BBC, So You Think You Can Dance, with Nigel Lythgoe and Arlene Phillips.

There was also a US version of So You Think You Can Dance, also run by Nigel. One of the finalists on that program, Lacey Schwimmer, joined DWTS as a new pro dancer (she did have former ballroom experience).

If the winner of the forthcoming So You Think You Can Dance has TV presence, they could/should be offered the chance of a job on SCD.

Though I suppose that teaching someone else, especially teaching a duffer, requires an entirely new set of skills.

Lacy got her latest partner, who was certainly not the favourite to win, as far as the final. That was some acheivement.

TBH I wouldnt be at all sad if Robin, Artem and Jared didnt return - IMO they havent made that much impact and are not a patch on Matt, Ian, Darren and Brian

I would keep Artem who I think is the only one of the new pros who is on a par with Matt, Ian and Darren. Robin and Jared whilst they seem very nice, they are not in the same class.

Would love Artem to be in the next series....loved partnership with Kara and he is an exciting choreographer.

Wouldn't mind Robin returning as I think he has potential .

Jared seemed to have very little impact on SCD.....too young and seemingly with very little personality

My thoughts too (for what they are worth)

The one I would definitely keep is Artem, I think he has produced some great dances for Kara. I would give Robin a second series as I think he has potential but unfortuantly Jared although a lovely fellow, I think he just isn't in the same class as the other two.

I'm sure they took professional advice before hiring the three new professionals.

As a non-expert, I can see why they hired Artem - seems to tick all the boxes.

I think Robin and Jared are very likeable but that their choreography sometimes was not well matched to their celebs. Of those two, from the very limited clps we saw, I thought Jared had the edge in teaching.
