For me, I'm just sat here listening to "Happy" by Leona Lewis and at the mo, feeling kinda glum (and to be honest, the song hardly helps but you know what I mean lol)

To me it is just SO resonant with my life, lyric wise and the melody is beyond ace for me.

Obviously everyone has their own version of this 'perfect' song that they identify with and just adore, so....

What is yours?

I always listen to Don't Speak by No Doubt whenever I've broken up with someone... depressing but I love it.

One by U2.

It actually made me tear up when they did it in concert last year.
(I saw them in Dublin)

Misguided Ghosts by Paramore. There aren't words to say how much I cried the first time I heard it.

I cried when I saw them perform it live at the O2 recently.

Snow Patrol- Chasing cars

I know it's not the greatest song, but it was playing while me and my wife were waiting to go in for an emergency caeserian when my son was born. Well up just thinking about the tune.

i dunno...i have loads

My love is your love by Whitney Houston is one i never click next to when it comes on, and this is going on 2 years. it takes a lot for me to like a song enough to never skip it when it comes on my iPod or iTunes, so this may be a winner, and the lyrics are lovely, really reminds me of my friends who have stuck by me over the past while

Agree with you. Happy is such a universal song that everyone can connect to. I really love it.

That truly is a great song (the full album version and not the heavily edited single release).

My choice, for personal reasons, is Miss Sarajevo by U2 & Passengers. Both beautiful and thought provoking.

Guns N' Roses - This I Love
You can feel every word Axl says in this song - just his mesmeric voice and a piano, and then a beautiful guitar solo in the middle. "I've searched the Universe and found myself within her eyes" - sweet!
