How much shall I sell my old iPhone for?

Hey guys,

I know this is rather stupid question, but I am not sure what is a realistic price to sell this for to a friend.

I am selling my iPhone 3G 16gb white in excellent condition, a few marks at the bottom but otherwise looks perfect. Recycling price is between £120 - £150, ebay price could go up to £200 give or take, so seller actually gets around £175- £180. I am thinking of selling it for £155 to a friend, too expensive? too cheap? reasonable?

Cheers

Depends on your friendship!!? £155 would be fine for a quick sale if you have a buyer. Unlike an Ebay sale he will know it's working and it's history........IMO

Cheers mate, this is the thing, she was a good friend I suppose still is, but she always seems to want to buy things cheap off me. When I had a camera that was very hard to get rid of, she ripped me off for more than £50, but I knew she was the only buyer I could possibly get. But with an iPhone, it's a totally different story, I keep seeing them going for over £180, but I wonder how many buyers don't pay up in the end or how many are in facts scams?
