Can I record ITV wales?
Hi,
I'd like to record ITV Wales tomorrow night (Thursday). I don't think it's in the freesat EPG (or at least, I can't find it). Is it broadcast from the satellite? Can I pick it up? Can I record it? How? Cheers, Ian. |

You only get your own region and ITV London according to postcode.
Assuming it's a Foxsat-hdr you can add it using manual tune 10832 H 22000 5/6 This will put you in non-freesat mode (with an extra option on the menu to switch modes assuming it's the first non-freesat channel you have added. You can manually record it from here but not if you have freesat recordings at the same time. Other than that to get it on the epg you will have to use a Welsh postcode |

Thanks Graham. Yes, it's a foxsat hdr. Should have said.
Presumably to put in the welsh postcode I have to do a factory reset? Does that then lose any settings (specifically reservations)? And I can then repeat the process to put back my local postcode? Is there any limits on the number of times you can chnage the postcode? Out of interest, why do ITV 'hide' their regions, when the BBC make them accessible? lots of questions, sorry.... Cheers, Ian. |

Unlike BBC, ITV has to keep it's regional advertisers happy hence you only get your postcode specified channel at 103, 977 (ITV 1 London) is always there because it's the only ITV1 channel with an audio described sound track, and of course you get ITV1-HD at 119 with an English or Welsh postcode. |

Thanks Graham,
I decided I didn't want to lose all the reservations, so I've done the manual tune, and shall now join in the general complaining about the inability to schedule a recording in non-freesat mode ![]() Cheers, Ian. |
