Safe to freeze egg fried rice

I made some egg fried rice yesterday with king prawns, peas, peppers, spring onions & of course eggs + rice.

Would it be safe to freeze & subsequently defrost & eat at some stage lol)?

everything is safe to freeze as long as it's heated properly afterwards (ice cream is an exception). You may lose texture and have to eat a hot gloopy mess, but freezing is perfectly safe

with that list of ingredients, it will freeze fine without lossing texture or taste. As SM said, just make sure to reheat to piping hot before eating.

Re-heating rice of any type has long been a contentious one.

The official line seems to be that It if it hasn't been cooled down and stored very quickly at a low temperature - then it might still harbour toxins.

These toxins can't be removed by nuking it in a microwave etc.

It also very much depends on what the conditions were when colling down before freezing.

Sat on the hob for about an hour, then in the fridge for a day, then frozen

Eat, or avoid

Just seems a waste as I'm cooking for one just now so don't like throwing food out.

I'd say, to be on the safe side, avoid.
