Gosh, what a lot of special pleading for Liz

So Liz's bitchy remarks are down to the producers, but Stella isn't allowed to say anything bad about Liz. Hmm.

Her remarks in the house at the end were tantamount to bullying, which is a nasty trait. Trying to round up the housemates against Stella...was just not nice and gave us a glimpse of Liz's true nature in my opinion

Yes thanks, since season 1 I've watched the show, and every week they big themselves up and play down their mistakes and pass the blame. They do not tend to make things up, as Stella did to cover her own arse because she knew she was responsible for the loss. She rolled her eyes as Laura pleaded to get out of kensington, she completely caved in the tartan shop and she knew it. She couldn't attack Laura because Laura was with her all day and knew those faults were down to Stella, so she made up something about Liz being crap.

Usually they understand the badmouthing is all part of the game, but clearly Stella is doing everything to rub the others up the wrong way, and Liz stood up to her for it, unlike the others bitching behind Stella's back.

Stella couldn't properly defend herself which was proof enough she lied.

She showed her true colours tonight.

What a way to derail discussion. You could apply that to anything said on the show!


It's getting there. Stella's isolated enough, it seems - and Liz seems to be fuelling the fire in that respect.

She was downright nasty, can give out criticism to others but cannot take it.

Stella lied in the boardroom, Liz called her up on it.

Why is Stella being excused from out and out lying, yet Liz drawing attention to it is the wrong thing to do?

Oh for god's sake you are being ridiculous. Stella didn't lie. She gave her opinion. Exactly what she's supposed to do in the boardroom.

Stella started the exchange by saying Liz should go in the boardroom .Thats understandable as Stella was in real danger, but Stella picked the wrong target and had no good reason.She couldn't target Laura because Laura had performed better than she had bargaining and she might not survive the details coming out - so she ended up talking nonsense about Liz. She even compunded it by implying Liz had approved the truffle buy - which was the mathematically fatal error - when Liz was only told after the sale.

Somewhere along the line no one also got to the bottom of why Liz wasn't consulted on the truffle buy as she had instructed. On what we saw, no one made any attempt to phone her - although both people there claimed an attempt was made. Its not unlikely that Liz believes someone was lying there.

Liz calling up Stella's lies in front of everyone may be down to the producers yes, her remarks were quite reasonable I think.

if you can say something to save yourself in the boardroom you should be willing to defend them to the people you are living with.

Seems here to just be a case of pretty girl sticks up for herself, and a bunch of people waiting to stick the knife in for weeks label her a bitch.

It's far from special pleading, Of those left she's my 4th favourite after Baggs, Chris and Joanna. She'll completely crumble at interviews I suspect, but her comments to Stella were well justified and Stella had been out of line.

Stella didn't lie, and your Liz bias is embarrassing. She was a petty bitch, plain and simple.

Hmmm, I did not like what I saw for the reasons you have given. Liz should know how the boardroom operates, after all she was happy to throw accusations to keep herself in as required. If she really did have a problem with what Stella had said she should have brought it to her attention in private. The "playing to the gallery" and trying to get the other flatmates onside smacked of girlie gameplaying and bitchy. I had thought Liz was more professional than that.

What annoyed me even more about it were the little smirks Liz was doing now more than ever I want Stella or Joanne to win

The truffle fiasco was Laura's fault as much as Stella's and Laura had been weaker overall, so Liz thinking Stella should have gone over Laura was silly. As to the phone call, who knows? But again, that was Laura's fault as much as Stella's and Liz didn't seem to hold it against Laura.

What goes around comes around...

If Liz flops, she should remember her attack on Stella.

I always think that things said in the boardroom should remain there, and not brought up once you have left. No need for Liz to bring that back up when none of the two were fired anyway.

Used to be a huge Liz fan and she was the one who I didn't mind seeing winning but this has just made me think that, she is like most of the other bitchy girls, only on a sly.

the display in front of all the other candidates was petty, spiteful and unnecessary and the snide comments in front of people she knows don't like Stella (so she knew she was safe doing it) were pathetic and I liked her up until that point

I don't think Stella lied in the boardroom. Liz wasn't a great manager...bourne out by a) the fact they lost, and b) the fact the the main reason for their loss was the lack of focus on price...and let's face it, the task was about buying...not nec the whole list, but for the cheapest price. In my opinion that comes down to poor strategy, which was liz's responsibility as pm.

I'm not one of those people saying that Liz is a complete bitch and showed her true colours. I thought she showed herself in a bad light tonight - but allround she is still a good candidate.

Attacking other people and downright character assassination happens in the boardroom every single week. It's part of the game - defending themselves is part of what they have to do.

However, I've never seen anyone take it as personally / take it out of the boardroom the way Liz did this week. She came across as a real precious little flower who can't take criticism.

Seriously - far, far worse things have been said in that boardroom - and never mentioned again.

What Liz brought up at the house was about an opinion of Stella's, nothing to do with truth or lies.

Unfortunately her comments were not to Stella, they were in front of Stella, to other people. Hence why it looked bitchy.

I really think your defence of Liz is OTT - Stella criticised Liz on certain aspects of her leadership and Liz agreed with those criticisms early on. Then Liz and Laura saw a chance to pin the majority of the blame on Stella and she tried to deflect it. Fair enough, that's what happens in this show. But to go back to the house and act as if Laura (who has whinged non-stop on every task) was such a saint and Stella a hard-faced bitch is pure game-playing on Liz's part and I lost A LOT of respect for her over that.

What happens in the boardroom should STAY in the boardroom. Liz chose to make it personal and I think that's something she may regret. I felt sorry for Stella and I hope this doesn't undermine her chances.

But good God, the other team were far worse in this week's task and seemed to earn their 'victory' by spending less - mainly through sheer bloody incompetence!
