Macarons

I have wanted to make some for ages but am terrified after previous attempts.
I saw this recipe and wanted to give it a go.
Just wondering if anyone else has tried (and more importantly succeeded in) making these?
And why mine never bloody work! Ridiculously infuriating yet cute little yums!

I made them a few weeks ago (not this specific recipe, but very similar - and green!!) and I thuoght they tasted bloody awful!! But then i've never tried macaroons to compare them to. I think my butter icing let me down, but I found the shells too fiddly and breaky.

However, a girl i work beside said that how they tasted was how they were meant to taste. Good luck

I can't say they'd be my sweet food of choice! Though they look so nice.
I've put the eggs out ready for tomorrow so hopefully will have a success and my friends will be pleased. If not I am not above cheating!

apparently it's all in the timing.

I also found that the green food colouring didn't really turn out too well, I used the specified amount but it looked bloody awful in the end up!!

(to be fair, I think i might have burnt them slightly but i'll not mention that too much haha)

I'm a tad nervous at putting colour in them they may go foul! but i've been told they must be pink and blue.
When I've attempted they've just fallen to bits or been a bit more cajun on top than they should be.
I've got all day tomorrow to try though, but a limited supply of ready egg whites. If all else fails, i'm buying them.

They can be lots of colours - in France you get lemon, pistachio, chocolate...
