Scott said he is jaded with SCD, do you think he's given up
He started out so well and now has had a couple of really bummer weeks.
Do you think he's lost interest? He said himself he was "jaded", which is quite surprising, most celebs seem to love the whole thing. I soooooo hope he can pull it together for this Saturday night Can't wait!.

He hasn't lost interest. He's suffering from exhaustion.
And I'm very much hoping he doesn't give up as that would mean Ann having a greater chance of reaching the final ... ![]() ![]()

He looks almost ill, I'm gussing that if he is jaded with the experience, it is more to do with exhaustion taking over.

Ive never really rated him, and at the end of the day he knew that he would clash with eastenders. If he wants to quit for health reasons he should, too me he looks ill and sick.

Well, he looks exhausted and sick, so it's not surprising he's not 'fun fun fun' in how he's feeling about it either. I think he's got enough support and done enough good dances that if he can get his concentration back, people will forget that he ever lost it, and my guess is that he and Natalie have enough competitive spirit to hold it together. I think he'll be OK.
Ironically I think he would have been better off if the judges had marked his dance last Saturday harshly. He's shown he's got enough support to stay out of the bottom 2 anyway. I think people will remember the two 9s after they forget his mistakes. |

We all feel 'jaded' when we're exhausted I think. And he clearly was exhausted. As he's not a dancer, he may not have realized when he signed up for SCD just how much hard work would be involved. I hope he's managed to get some some rest this week. Let's see how he does on Saturday, but I'm sure he hasn't given up.

When did he say that he was 'jaded' with the show? I know that he has had trouble with his schedule and tiredness but I got the impression that his enthusiasm was still pretty high.
I watched the launch show again the other day, and it is quite striking how much weight he has lost. However Natalie has acknowledged that he has changed physically but also says that he has a 'dancers body' now, so maybe it's not so bad in that sense. I'd agree with those who say that he looks better heavier though. |

They're very upbeat about the Paso this week - maybe last week was a particularly gruelling week on EE.
I thought that perhaps he was doing 'overtime' on the soap to leave more training time in the weeks to come for the extra dances? |

Scott hasn't given up, but his body is beginning to.
Like Bonnie says, hopefully his filming schedule will calm down over the last few weeks of Strictly so he can do himself justice on the dancefloor. |

He did look very tired, understandable if he has been doing very long hours in his day job, as well as all the training but I think it is unlikely he will give up with only three weeks left.
He needs his Wheetabix

I think it was his VT before the show on Saturday night. |

He needs his Wheetabix ![]() Nobody will be more disappointed in last week's performance than the man himself. I've got home made soup here for him Grannyannie - we could make up a food parcel and deliver it ![]() (I'm willing to drive the van )

His exact words were
" I'm doing two jobs and I'm a little bit jaded." |

jad·ed/ˈjādid/
Adjective: Tired, bored, or lacking enthusiasm, typically after having had too much of something Ambigious really what he meant, but hopefully he meant really tired, although jaded sounds more than just the tired bit, if you know what I mean. Can someone ask him!

He seems to be so hyper in real life, unlike the characters he plays, that he comes across as someone who might not have a lot in reserve.

jaded (comparative more jaded, superlative most jaded)
1. Worn out, wearied, exhausted or lacking enthusiasm, due to age or experience. He's knackered. |

I think he's just feeling the strain of working so hard. I hope he starts to embrace it for his sake and mine because when he's good, he's very very good and I would be sad to lose just a great natural dancer because he's overworked.

I was his biggest cynic last week and thought he would come out and nail it having moaned all week but I was wrong. He looked ill. I think he has given his all to Natalie and work and needs some R and R. Not sure how much work he has on from here to the final but I hope it quietens off so he gets a stab at the semi. Not surehe is a worthy finalist because of his lack of skill in latin generally.
