simple hdd recorder
Anyone help? I have a non-sky sat box. I want to be able to record programmes. Don't care about epgs, recording multiple progs, every ep of a series, etc. Is there any pvr that will record from scart input from a sat box? Everything I can see with two scarts uses the second for sending signal to a vcr or dvd recorder.

Virtually all PVRs will NOT record from external inputs (only from their internal tuners) what you need is a DVR usually in the form of a DVD/HDD recorder - most of which will record from their scart input socket and also from their inbuilt Freeview tuner.

The easiest way is probably record directly to your computer - if that's acceptable (you can't use it for anything else at the same time) - using an inexpensive video capture USB device, eg, the easycap or similar ........
