Moira Ross is to blame for Claudias affection towards Anne, Claudia is doing what she is told and gets paid for it.

More or less what happened in our house. My OH used to enjoy their 'performance' but can see through the hype now. He knew what was going on.

I don't think Anton is really happy at all. He's had to learn to put on an act over the years. "You're marvellous etc." when someone is truly not.

What a shame if Claudia can be bought like that .I used to think she was her own woman ,but clearly is folowing the party line now .I am dissapointed in her to be honest .

I take it you didnt watch ITT tonight then.

Claudia made the observation that, even when asked by the floor managers to sit down, the audience continued with the standing ovation for Ann and Anton. Claudia was in the audience, I really see no need for people to get huffy with her simply for stating what she saw.

As for her expressing her own opinion on the routine, anyone would think Claudia hasnt been practically anti-dance throughout all of the 7 trillion episodes of ITT that she has hosted. What have you all been watching?

Like I said presenters have to conform with their bosses and have no choice in the matter how they work..

I give up. I'm not watching ITT anymore. It's too nauseating to watch at mealtimes.”

To be fair, she said it was her favourite dance ever, not the best. And she's entitled to her opinion, same as the rest of us.

Everyone has a choice - some are prepared to sell their soul for 30 pieces of silver.

Do they have a choice if the editorial bias is made clear to them, though? I doubt it. From what I can see, Claudia's just doing what she's told. One does, in my experience - otherwise one loses one's job.

But Claudia added VAT on top.

I always sky+ so I don't have to listen to Mrs Winkle's inane comments.

When the VT of Widdebeke's AS training was on, Claudia even said Widibeke's AS was beautiful.
She's taking the sycophancy too far, even if she's under orders. There are limits.

It could of course be a clever ploy to undermine AW. To "praise her into the grave" like we Dutch say.

It is quite extraordinary that people feel the need to question Claudia's observations, she was in the audience after all and is only giving us the facts of events that she saw and witnessed. I'm sure the majority of viewers love Claudia on ITT, I certainly do.

I reckon that's the same for just about everybody taking part. They might as well stop interviewing anyone and bringing AW into it. From start to finish I think the whole lot of them have had to accept that the show is built around A&A and the rest of them are bit players who have to toe the line, grit their teeth and do as they're told.

Are you making your "I love Ann" buttons again?

And we're entitled to our opinion of her opinion.

Which in my case is and

How's that stop her from having a choice?

She is doing what she is told Veri and it is scripted for her.

I love Claudia and she's no idiot, nor do I think she's a push-over. Okay, I accept I may be biased here, and therefore scrabbling around for an excuse for her behaviour today, but is there any chance that she was being deeply ironic? The more she grovelled sycophantically to Ann's 'magnificence', the bigger the hole Widdy dug herself into, revealing more of her arrogance and determination not to please the judges. If you think about it, Claudia got Widdecombe to admit, on national TV, that she liked getting standing ovations more than getting good scores, and therefore wasn't about to make the mistake of actually learning to dance.

Just a thought.

I wish Claudia would debate her script rather than it being given to her on a plate hehe.

Perhaps so, but she has a choice about whether she does what she's told or not. Even if they'd sack her if she didn't do as told, she would still have a choice about whether she did it or not.

I get the impression that Claudia genuinely likes Ann & Anton and finds their performances amusing. It's not unheard of! Otherwise they wouldn't be getting such a high volume of votes each week.

However, I do wish Claudia wouldn't be sooooo enthusiastic about this pair. As a presenter, I think she should remain as neutral as possible and not allude to personal favourites.

It's Claudias boss that has told her to be like that.
