Claudia has been enthusiastic with every couple throughout her time on It Takes Two, no matter how good or bad they were. She hasn't changed. If you looked at her interviews with any one couple in isolation it would look like they were her favourites. It's how the show has always been, and how it should be.

I don't need to make buttons I have it on a T shirt. I do think Claudia is always very fair with her comments about the dancers.

The more she grovelled sycophantically to Ann's 'magnificence', the bigger the hole Widdy dug herself into, revealing more of her arrogance and determination not to please the judges. If you think about it, Claudia got Widdecombe to admit, on national TV, that she liked getting standing ovations more than getting good scores, and therefore wasn't about to make the mistake of actually learning to dance.

Just a thought.”

That is what I would have expected from her. I like Claudia as well, and would not expect her to be rude or dismissive of any celebrity contestant. What I would expect is the usual nod and wink to us (the viewers) that she is treating it all a bit tongue in cheek, not the grovelling praise she appears to be lavishing on Ann and Anton for their "hilarious" contributions.
Some people are saying she has always been the same, but I can't remember her giving the same amount of support to John Sergeant ? I am sure she was sympathetic and supportive..but not in the same manner that she has been with AW.

To avoid any confusion Clauidia says at 6.40 minutes in on ITT on BBC i player,

"I was there people would not sit down, they were going 'come on sit down', they would not sit down"

Claudia also says at 7.00 minutes in on BBC i player'

"People were doing standing ovations by the way in their own homes, I know that for a fact"

I know people believe Claudia is intelligent, but I hadn't heard that she is psychic .

'I used to love her but it's all over now.'

Btw Claudia says things like "I know that for a fact" as part of her personal and quirky style. It's a sort of joke. It's not meant to be taken literally. Perhaps the problem here is that certain people are very literally minded. This is not a criticism, but might explain a few things.

Oops. I had no idea Claudia could see the rude gestures I make at the telly.

Thanks for the heads up.

Claudia didnt say how many people she saw in their own homes standing up .Possibly herself and her husband did and maybe a child by default .
Many of us were in the kitchen pouring a stiif drink, maybe she was counting that as an ovation

Genuine question - did they get a standing ovation for saturday night.........

I was watching (albeit with the sound muted and from behind a cushion) but did I miss the standing ovation.....

The Titanic pantomime was a little better than the canary caper. If I remember right the audience across the dance floor did not stand up. The audience left of and behind the judges did stand up. Those with access to iPlayer may care to verify.

This was the most conspicuous sector of the audience on the TV screen, and like all aspects of the Ann show would have been carefully orchestrated to influence 10 million viewers. Anyone who was there can advise if this sector was seated with hand-picked persons.

I agree with you. I thought myself she was being totally sarcastic in her praise of Ann.

Not Claudia this time but Alesha Dixon just said on The Alan titmarsh show that 'Ann gets the biggest cheers of all the contestants', sitting on the judges panel she is in a perfect position to be able to see and hear.

Shows Alesha isn't fit to wear the judges shirt then.

As a doctor you would appreciate that a traumatic spectacle will trigger an instant autonomic reaction. Blood rushes out of vital organs into the skin giving a flushed appearance as if the subject were enthusiastic in approval. Simultaneously body temperature takes a dive and brain waves flatline....

Those who have suffered such traumas realise that a standing ovation is the best way for a spectator to save her own life.

I'd have thought Claudia, at least, would be safe from the Ann hatahs. But no

Gods help poor Craig, now he has agreed to perform "the dance of the show" with Ms Widdycombe on the Live Tour.

More proof (if any were needed) of how far SCD has dumbed-down over the years.
Still, if that's what the public want, so be it.
