With her overmarking of Scott and Ann. I only think it's fair for someone else to judge and Alesha to be in a presenters role, anyone support me on this?

Alesha is an improvement on her predecessor and offers the dancers encouragement, which is always welcome.

She also is condesending towards celebrities too and that is not nice and don't really think she is all that helpful either.

I'd like them all, to go. Now.

I actually think she was better last series and now she's gone a bit downhill. Sometimes she can be very harsh, and her reasons for marking in certain ways are a bit stupid ie. "to even out Craig's score".

I think possibly she's got a bit big for her boots this year. She's coming across a bit like its all gone to her head unfortunately.

I feel quite sad because I love Alesha, but I think possibly she would be better in a presenting role (this is what I have always thought she was best at, other than dancing!!)

You're five days too late with this thread. Also, why no mention of Bruno, who gave Scott the same mark as Alesha, or Len, who gave Ann the same mark as Alesha? I can't defend some of her marking on Saturday, but she wasn't alone in giving out crazy scores.

Sorry about that, shall we call it a backdated thread then?

There was no shortage of threads about overmarking on Saturday night, but they've all disappeared from the front page of this forum because people have had their say and moved on. We don't need another thread on it.

I didn't have my say. Someone drove into my car and I haven't been well. It is difficult to move on when you have had a traumatic time.

Sad to hear that mate, then again the bad weather is to blame.

Thank you. I really did, get my car smashed in but I've been fine. Just was trying to keep the thread going or rather - counter the suggestion not to.

Tall Paul,

Please don't take this the wrong way. It would be nice if you could start a thread that isn't about sacking someone, telling people not to vote for Ann, or trying to get Dutch people to appear on SCD. The BBC don't care and I don't much either. Ta.

She offers encouragement to couples she likes.

Arlene was a much better judge - yes, her alliteration was annoying - but her scoring was nearly as fair as Craig's.

Judges who overscore sholudn't be doing it, simple as that.

If Cheryl Cole leaves The X Factor, maybe the Strictly bods will have a management meeting to see how they can follow the trend. Hopefully.

Some people just like the proverbial 'sound of their own voice'. some more than others

I do - she is voting with her emotions and not according to the technical accuracy and is not deducting enough points off for mistakes.

Bring back Arlene - she would have voted fairly I'm sure! I can't believe Alesha said she voted so highly to counteract Craig's low score - it's not fair on dancers like Matt who danced much better and yet got a lower mark. Scott made several errors - the most he should have been given was an 8 and that is generous.

I think that they should all submit their scores simultaneously so they are not influenced by what marks other judges give. I think Len is guilty of this as well as after Craig give a low mark he often looks indignant and marks too generously to over compensate.

This is the first time I have posted as I'm a new member... but I do have to agree with you her marking is terrible... I liked Arlene but I think Karen Hardy would make a far better Judge for Strictly as all her comments a very fair... no favouritism....

Alesha must be thanking her lucky stars for the Ann hysteria. It's deflected attention from her own abysmal performance.
