Choreography Corner this week
RubySparkle
03-12-2010
Did anyone notice that as soon as Karen started talking about how Ann's rumba had no content in it and that as the weeks were going on it was becoming less about dancing and more about icebergs and miming, conveniently Claudia suddenly said they were out of time and started to wrap it up. Me thinks Karen said what she really thought without thinking and they had to stop her... just a thought.

I just think its an absolute joke how they look at the dances from the previous week and comment on technique, getting the choreography spot on, musicality etc and then they get to Ann and Anton and its just like "yeah... there was an iceberg... hilarious"

What the heck has happened to this show.

Anyway, did anyone else notice that about Choreography Corner?

I just take it for granted now that there's an agenda and that Choreography corner is an opportunity to prep voters with the required mind set for Saturdays.

I clocked this too.

It's very obvious that anyone who dares come close to criticising Ann is cut short. It happened to James on BBC Breakfast this morning.

I noticed too - how convenient that they were 'out of time' just as Karen starts to mention 'she who shall not be named' and how she 'dances'

oh really, what happened?

I'm glad other people noticed it too. It was very obvious to me that someone was shouting in Claudia's ear "shut her up!"

What I love about Strictly is watching these celebrities attempt these dances, really try to do them well, and enjoy themselves. With Ann I feel that she isn't trying, and even if she did try, shes so far behind the rest that it would still be her time to go. Its the dancing that entertains me, and when someone isn't getting any better (and isn't making any effort to either) I don't enjoy watching it. I actually haven't watched Ann for the past 4 weeks.

Yep, I noticed.

Didn't see the James interview or hear Five radio, though.

They played a clip of Ann and Anton 'dancing' to the Titanic theme and Pamela dutifully repeated the line about how 'hilarious' they are. Then James was asked if he found them funny and he said, 'no, not any more'. At which point, Pamela whacked him and he hastily said that he was just being honest but that he thought Anton's choreography was brilliant and that Anton was responsible for getting them this far.

As others have pointed out, there are five other couples in the competition - why not ask Pamela and James about them? Why focus on the BoD? Well, I know the reason why, but am getting a bit fed up with all the manipulation.

So stupid. Its really not funny anymore. Why can't they comment on how amazing Kara's Argentine Tango was a few weeks ago?!?!? I feel like Ann gets credit for doing naff all and all the others are slaving away for nothing. GREAT.

Not only ITT but all BBC employees don't seem able to mention SCD without including that woman's name in the same breath.

I presume everyone also noticed that the Craig/Michael/Tamsin panel discussing tonight's dances also 'ran out of time' and were only allowed one word comments about Scott. So presumably the majority of the posters to this thread also believe that there is some great Machiavellan conspiracy theory about him, too?

Maybe, just maybe, it is just that these segments regularly over-run.

Oh, and I'm sorry to disappoint, but Elvis is dead.
