It's a sign of the standard of BBC Breakfast's appalling Strictly coverage this year that they'd say Pamela and James are favourites.

Much as they've turned in some great performances (only Kara and Artem stand a chance of bettering their rumba), they don't have the same public support as Matt, Scott, Gavin or (tragically) Ann. So, all in all, a pretty stupid comment to make.

James was as diplomatic as he could possibly be and anyone with half a brain would understand the inference he was making. James Jordan is, therefore,
THE PEOPLE'S HERO!
However, the real issue is why Pamela and James were even asked about Ann in the first place. It is yet another sign - if one were really needed - that there is an edict from Moira Ross and her fellow BBC executives that Ann should be promoted above all other contestants.

The piece was supposed to be about Pamela - yet they forced Ann onto the agenda, just as happened with Felicity last week. Why not ask Pamela about Kara, or Matt, for instance? Perhaps because they, like Scott, Gavin and Pamela herself, are seen merely as satellites of Ann in the eyes of BBC executives?
A DS FM with claims to have links to the BBC recently maintained that, in truth, the powers that be don't want Ann to win. Unfotunately, I can't see any signs of this. Indeed, all the evidence would indicate that they
do want Ann to lift the glitterball ...
